Parts are really coming together Widebody Project update!

Hey guys,
I know I post alot, what can I say I like to ***** my project out haha.

Well the big brake kit is partially installed, just waiting on me to install new bearing races on the TII hubs. Also I ordered in all new brake lines.

Brake system modifications include:
TII brake booster
TII Brake master cylinder
TII proportioning valve
All new hard lines
TII 4 piston front calipers
11" powerslot rotors
TII 5 lug hubs
New bearings/races
DOT approved SS brake lines
Hawk HPS front pads

The rest of the parts are really coming in as well!
Polished FD UIM and TB
S5 LIM to FD UIM adapter
greddy elbow
HKS SSQV BOV
Greddy cast turbo manifold
HKS FMIC
HKS standard wastegate (going to sell for a different wastegate)
Greddy profec B spec II
innovate motorsports LM-1 wideband
CP racing flushmount headlights with PIAA bulbs
etc etc etc.

Heres a couple teaser pictures...

Hopefully my turbo will come soon, and then I need to order other odds and ends. I'm also hoping to be able to order my front CCW's at the end of this week (just need the hubs on to take measurments) This winter is going to be a blast putting this beast together!

Thanks for looking!

I am with Matty, I can't wait to see this beast running. Widebody FB's are wonderful, and turbo FB's are a dream. Can't wait to see videos of your car completed and running around.

I was wondering on the big brake kit.. Will the new rotors be in the same location as the stock ones were? I'm going to be using the 4 lug fc rotors to keep my wheels..

Hmmmm I can't say for absolute sure (I never measured and the hubs still aren't on the car. But I would say the rotor stays in the same position but the hub mounting surface sits a few inches futher out. I'll take pictures when I have some time!

Thank you for all the awesome replies, it's really exciting to see this thing coming together. It sure takes alot of money and time but it should be worth it in the end!

With the CP Big Brake Kit (very similar, but inferior to yours) - I had to use a 1" spacer to clear the TII brakes with the 2nd Gen (5 lug) wheels)

What's the specs on the turbo? I'm looking for one and really don't have a clue on specing one out. Looking for 350 hp as a DD with 400+ for play days.

A few updates!

Car is now in the garage for the winter and work has already began. 12A, transmission, driveshaft, came out! Removed springs/struts, control arms, idler arm, sway bar, tension rods etc. Removed brake booster, mastercylinder, brake hard lines, and a few other things.

TII brake booster, and master cylinder went in, made new brake hardlines, installed earl's SS braided brake lines. Installed clutch SS braided line (tried installing a TII clutch master, apparently they won't work due to the angle of the mounting bolts). Installed Respeed camber plates, installed respeed spherical control arm bushings with brand new control arms. Installed Respeed spherical tension rod bushings, moog competition idler arm was installed. Installed a TII oil cooler, removed the front of the car (front fenders, air dam) in order to adjust the say everything is sitting.

Half assed installed CP racing flushmounts, they are still waiting on the plexiglass covers to be repainted. I will post up some pictures later tonight, its a bit of progress but hardly anything in the whole scheme of things.

Update, as time passes and money comes in the project is slowly progressing. I now have a JDM Series 5 TII motor torn down waiting to be rebuilt. The motor chucked a apex seal on the front rotor, and took out the housing. Luckily I have access to 2 new S5 housings.

As far as my motor build goes here is what i'm thinking:
Series 5 JDM TII motor
Large streetport
Series 4 Low compression rotors (new bearings)
New series 5 eccentric shaft
New Hardened front and rear stationary gears (new bearings)
Get the irons lapped and renitrided
Pineapple racing rebuild kit
Aftermarket oil pressure regulators
ACT streetlite flywheel, ACT clutch/pressure plate
GSL-SE front cover/Oil pan
Racing beat Oil pan baffle

I know some of the components I have listed do not REQUIRE replacement. But I figure I should do this right the first time around, and have all new bearings and new spec journal surfaces. When pushing the limits of a motor like this the last thing you need is to have components with excessive wear.

Anyways I got more parts from luiml73 last week and I went to work installing the FMIC from him today. A bit of the front air dam had to be cut in order to get it to fit right but I am happy how it turned out. I also got black 4 ply couplers for the polished intercooler piping, and got all stainless steel T bolt clamps for all the connections.

Anyways onto the pictures.
