Nikki carb question

I rebuilt my carb a week ago and when I put it back on the car the and poured gas into it the engine shot up to 4k rpm. I have checked for vacuum leaks and my gas pedal is depressed a bit and has some free play and adjusting the two 12mm adjusting nuts it does not get any better. I will try to upload pictures of my throttle linkage. Please let me know if you see anything out of place or know anything that could cause the issue

The "tetter-totter" isn't seated. It's the long spring with the shaft going through it.

The hot start assist cable appears to be under tension and holding the throttle open. Check to make sure that the cable didn't come out of one of the ferrules.

Second that. Does look like it’s tight. To test simply unhook the hot start cable and try starting the car again.
