Question Carb Question

Well, I built one carb out of about five I had laying around here and I came across a problem with the secondaries opening when it was complete. After going over the thing I noticed there was little pin at the bottom of the carb in front of the secondaries that was stopping the arm. The answer was simple enough for getting past it but I was just wondering why it is there. It wasn't there on my old carb, is some type of governor or what? Any ideas?

thanks

Is the pin where the shaft spring is? Thats the only pin I know of there. Its an anchor point for the coiled shaft spring. Sounds like the linkage was put on wrong.

Solution:

Send four of the five to Carl, he'll rebuild one and send it back for free (limited time offer, while supplies last, not to be combined with any other offer, requires the legal guardianship of your firstborn to be put into the loving arms of satan, some shipping charges may apply, see in-store for details)

It is the spring anchor pin and the linkage was put on wrong. I just took her for a run and she just rocks now!

Sorry Carl, I like working on them just as much as you do! Got her down to an art now, I can take the carb off, rebuild her, and then put her back on in an afternoon. Now for mods!!!
