Talking Heeeee's Back....

Yippee-Ky-Yi-Yayyyyy.....Git along little doggies....
Y'all know the Seven Coral's gonna be yer new Home!

Well Howdy-do, all yew Cowboys, Wrench-hands, and to all you women who put a little Castrol behind each ear, and rub Shell gas on their wrists....Love y'all...

Yeah, it's the Ol' Cowboy from the abandoned corncrib. C'mon, pull up a shop stool or a roller seat and set a spell. Been gone a while from the world of RX-7's, but haven't forgot y'all. See I picked up one of those forgotten sports coupes Mazda imported for a few years, a '92 MX-3. Well, two of 'em. Ol' Silver lives up in Michigan with a young Buckaroo. John, my youngest son, has put away his 2nd gen 10th ann edition, and went over to a twin turbo Sleath. Most of the rest of my Sevens went to a Seven nut in Newark, Ohio.

Hey Fella, make sure your hands are clean 'fore yuh go a wanderin' thru those manuals, eh...

Where was I...Yeh, the MX-3's. Well one's a daily driver, but the other one...Little Red Wing....Heh, heh, heh....Well, she's a little humdinger. First off I put H&R springs and KYB shocks on, front strut bars top and bottom, rear strut bars top and bottom. Then the real work began. Ordered up and dropped in a J-spec. 2.5 liter V6. The one with the high compression heads and hot camshafts. Fancy new clutch, braided clutch line and B&M short shifter. Then for Whoa, I put on Brembo slotted and dimpled rotors, Axxsis pads, and braided stell brake lines. A pretty little Clarion AM/FM/CD sound system from my Stereo Buddy and Stereo Unlimited of Cols. Ohio, then some wide trackin wheels and tires.
Finally....Heh, heh, heh....A big-*** wing on the back. Results...She spins the skins like we have B.F. Goodrich as our sponser. Only had 'er goin' for a couple of months, and there's some more stuff I wanna do, but we do smoke a few doors now and then. Top end, 1/4 mile, don't know yet, but I did Scorch a Honda one nght, and watched him disappear as the speedo clocked 130 and was still climbin'.....Watch the road, not the guages you damn fool!

Ennaways, here's the real reason I'm back. I get a call from one of my wrenchin' buds, says they got a old RX-7 that nobody can seem to get started, and the owner says when he had it runnin' she wouldn't go worth ****! I'd had some other Sevens come in for some advice and minor work before, but none that would light my campfire. So this Seven gets dropped off the flatbed and Good Gracious, it's Ol' Siver's twin, and '85 GSL-SE, silver with a maroon interior, but with manual steering. Owner said he'd been in three garages, but no luck gettin' 'er to run.

Story is I got 'er started by dumpin some good ol' MMO into the spark holes, threw away those stinkin' Autolite plugs, Mazda cap and rotor, then replaced the burned up starter wires and starter. Then she fired up, jest for little 'ol me.....Did some ajustments, and called up the owner to come get 'er. Well, the owner meanwhile has been cheatin' on our little girl, he's out doin the town in a Mustang he's had his eye on!

Well to shorten up the story, I took his Seven for $500, and ate my repair bill. And Boys and Girls, I'm back in Rotary love....

Now to sweeten up the situation. This little GSL-SE felt so good and playin' Daddy to a Rotary was so fine, I snatched up an '88 Vert two days ago. All black, and pretty as a Princess!

My main man at the Mazda Dealer Parts Department says there's no hope for him or me....We're addicted!

Oh, I see that sticky about cleanin' carbon out of your rotary........I hate to go thru this all again, but if you want me to dig out my old really long thread full of quotes and statements regarding the overall goodness of MMO, I will.....

Pee-Jay....you stll owe me, brother!

Happy Rotoring to y'all...
Eldest Brother,
Denny, from the Ol' abandoned corncrib.....

Send me a PM update on your condition. Still runnin that red car? Happy trails are here again....

Cruisin' down the road the weather's lookin' fine,
I catch that little smile from that girl of mine.
My nose is headed right into the settin' sun,
The throttle's open wide I let the horses run.....

DENNY! How are ya!

A 2.5l MX-3??? I can't wait to see it. Friend of mine had a ZX2 which is a similar chassis but with one of them European DOHC fourcylinders and he had a hard time keeping the tail behind the nose. I bet it's a ball to drive!

I haven't forgotten. I'm finally starting to "make it" so things are lookin' much better. Expect a phone call later this week
