I'll give Tom a call today and see if he'll post here, or give me some info on how he wants to do this.

Well, i just finished up the install today, i was a pain locating fine thread metric bolts, but finally got some. everything went in fine, though the car sit a bit high. I figured out that with the stiff spring rate i'm running, i should really have gotten shorter springs, (i'm thinking maybe even 6" long springs) but i'll see if these springs settle any, i'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. and i didn't have a chance to get a hold of the machinist, i'll try to do it tomorrow.

What're we lookin at for price right now? And did you see if Koni's will fit them?

If so I'm definitely in, but my shaky student budget means it might take a little while to work up the cash. I also need to get a coilover kit, since the seller I ordered my Pro-Kit from decided to wait until after the sale to tell me that the springs were backordered for half a year

well, did anyone call the shop? I've mine fully installed and running, the only disappointment is that i should have gotten a shorter spring, with the high spring rate i'm running, the car sits a bit high for my taste, and i have the konis on there, so that should be no problem. And Rusty, if you are looking for a prokit, i have one for sale right now, but the pro kit will not be compatible with this camber plate/coilover setup.

so are we just supposed to call this guy directly?

and could you let us know exactly how much you had your struts machined that way when we take ours to the machine shop we can tell them, you said 5/16 but was is the depth of it?

His name is Tom Burns, and his phone number is 408-567-0857, like i mention from the beginning, the price is with 5 orders (because he'd actually have to manufacture them, nothing has been made yet), so i don't know how many people are actually going through with this, so the price and pretty much everything else is up to him, though he is a very nice and reasonable guy.
does he have an email?

it's just the stock depth, and i will double check the diameter. there's already a stock change in diameter to fit in the stock bearing, you just need to have it taken down a bit more. and yeah, call tom, since i'm just spreading the word, and in no way make money on this deal, just trying to contribute to the 7 community.

And i don't know if he has paypal...

This is right around the time where the potential buyers start scurrying for plausible deniability. . .

OK, I just spoke to Tom and he does seem to be a genuinely nice guy, he is not to busy right now so lets get onto this, he is confirming his Paypal details for me and then we will each send him $140 deposit on the parts, please include your ahipping address on your deposit so he can work out shipping costs.

At the completion of construction the additional $135 will be due plus shipping.

As soon as I have the paypal address I will post it for all.

The more the merrier. Minimum confirmed orders is 5.

Please post when you've paid.
