compression

compression

im looking at a bridge port motor the back rotor has 85-90 PSI compression
and the fron has 60-65 psi


how long do you think it will last ?

With a compression disparity like that, it's a "zombie" engine. It's dead, it just does not know it yet. Probably scored or badly flaked front rotor housing

damn............. think i should buy it? its 4 port 13b with bridge comes with msd coils, 58mm ida with racing beat intake, morso oil pan, headers, alternator, distributer, racing beat wires, holley FPR, Carter fuel pump, dual pully, light weight FW, 4 puck clutch, ACT pressure plate, 89 bell housing with 84 tranny on it with short shift. it is basically everything i need besides the msd Ignition box.

$2k for all the parts, plus you get an engine that you can beat on until a rebuild is non-optional. Hell, the carb setup alone is worth more than half of that.

Sounds fair to me. Then again it's not my money....

My engine would be lucky to break 200hp in a perfect state of tune. It's not built for power, just midrange grunt and sounding badass. It does both nicely.

that's rediculious for an engine that's dead. even with all those parts, i bet the engine internals are fried. offer him 1k, reason: the motor is toast, see if he bites. it's worth lowballing to see if you can pull it off.
