Is a bridgeport good for a weekend car

not only will it be very loud, you will have zero bottom end. you'll feel pretty silly with a mean sounding brap brap and a civic pulls past you easily because you weren't at the absolute perfect rpm.

i think there is another thread about this, but the two P ports we have running around here idle 900-1000, we could go lower but the carb doesn't really like it.
if you can open the throttle, the power curve is like a stock FD, comes on at 2500 and just pulls....
and part throttle its kind of touchy, and its not really happy.
think of it like a golden retriever puppy, its happy and excited to just chase stuff

Especially with a 9lb flywheel. Crazy quick throttle response, the engine is a big overexuberant puppy when allowed to run. But sullen and grumptacular when forced to putt around at light throttle.
From what I have heard Bridge Porting is best for drag strip power, I would personally go for a large Street Port. This is what I plan on doing in the future as it will still be streetable but it will still have high horsepower. The RX8 in Formula Drift uses a large streettport and gets 600-800 hp without nitrous so you dont need bridgeport to be loud or to get epic braps or for power. I would go street
