Look like they'll be running 285/30ZR18 Yokohama Neova Tires. Good choice for a street tire.
My guess is that it'll be hard to beat the powerful all wheel drive sports cars (Porsch Turbo) because of the limited traction that street tires provide. Even the best street tire pales in comparison to an R compound or race tire. Should be an interesting event! Just finishing would be an accomplishment.

Barry and I are local Louisiana FD owners; we went to meet and support Damian and Andrew - really nice guys (formidible competitors) with that well-sorted, competitive, and famous CYM.
One Lap of America astounds me more than any NHRA, NASCAR, F1, or other motorsport events I ever attended - combined. That these "regular" enthusiasts can prepare street cars and themselves to withstand enduro, road race, and drag race rigors - this is the ultimate test of man and machine.
We had a heckuva great time seeing all the cars and came away with great deal of useable knowledge from what we saw.
