85 RX7 - power steering problem

Can Any one give advice - The power steering pump is spitting fluid back thru the filler tube when the pump is engaged...any one know what is going on?

I don't have any idea, but you can always remove the power steering pump all together if it's too much trouble, my `85 GSL has no power steering at all, and never did. Kind of hard making u-turns and slow speed turns but it's not that much of a problem.

Ummmm.. the racks are completely different between P/S and M/S. Just removing the pump doesn't turn a p/s car into the same spec as one from the factory without it.

Heaps of them came with power steering. Not sure why anyone would have wanted it, but it was an option.

No but you still retain the better lock to lock ratio, 1st gens have a steering box not a rack. It works fine without the pump, either block the outlets or loop the line to do so.
