custom anti bump steer spindles?
does anyone here know of a company that makes an anti bump steer spindle for the FD?
i have the Rx7 specialties sub frame kit that comes with the bump steer pieces but i really dont like the look of them, i really dont feel comfortable with having a " weight arm" at such an important part of the car.
a spindle with a lowered arm must be a better option?
does anyone here run the complete kit and want to share their experiences with it?

Instead of the spindle bolting directly, there is a spacer that goes on first. Not sure what is meant by weight on the arm? The arm itself is the same. Its just bolted an inch or so lower, so that the drop in the rack is offset
Everything is fine normal driving. Only issue is castor is forward a bit more. The front wheels set a little further forward, but this is likely due to the position of the suspension arms on the replacement subframe.
Sometimes a tiny tiny bit of play/hunting is perceive at very high speed. But if its in boost w weight on rear I dont feel anything. Its really very very minimal.
Like I said the main issue is the forward weight of 20b making the car feel like it understeers.

Wow engine mounts made that much of a difference..?
This all sounds like bumpsteer issues to me.
From my experience when I was testing for bumpteer its very very hard to get it perfect. I was able to achieve perfect on my setup but I often wonder how many cars with aftermarket setups have bumpsteer issues or so called hunting... it would drive me nuts.

Why not just leave the spindles stock and change out the tie rod ends?

Weight arm is a lever.....(and weight arm is what my British physics book calls it, so its not the lingo

getting another bum steer kit will result in the same as the RX7 specialties kit, it puts a lever where i really dont want one.
it will put alot more force on parts that quite literally are keeping you alive. + its looks like its asking for steering slop ( i have a RX-4 wagon with an old shitty steering box, and i cant drive that faster than 80mph before it starts getting really scary) i dont want that on a 500hp + torque monster

I think there is too much paranoia going on here. People have been using bump steer kits on cars for decades all over the world its effect is no different than modifying the control arm aside from the guarantee that it's not going to fail assuming it is done correctly like how chip does it. Although I have never heard of a kit failing.
As far as bump steer most people do not understand what it is and how to test for it. Simply putting a bump steer kit on the car will not fix bump steer you need to install the kit and then adjust using the shims untill the bumpsteer is gone. Using a kit is just easier.
If your going to have the arm modified you need to be 100% on your measurments.
