Yes, I did miss your post... but Black Dragon doesn't charge me a percentage for using my credit card, either. Nor do I have to pay CA sales tax with them; better than 10% in LA now. & they quote S&H up front.

Mtrix is still something like $18 cheaper when all is said and done, but I got what I wanted in "one and done." & I don't cotton to that CC policy, at all.

All 4 of my wheel lips are now polished. Need my pay check to buy new black bolts.
I also found a wheel bolt and valve stem set on JSC Speed for 50$. Going to pick that up too, kinda figure it's a better deal than the 949 racing and buy the bolts separately.

After this new moog idler arm, shocks, and racing beat springs are now on the list.
Maybe I might buy a harness bar, kinda up in the air about that, but I am a ways away for that.

I added the 2nd gen coil ignition, and it does sound different. A little less 'tinny'. And pulls nicely at WOT from 2000 in 3rd and 4th gear. A worthwhile and well priced mod.

New hatch seal eliminated most of the rattle, but something's still not quite right. Oh, well; it needed doing anyway.

Yeah Atkins does that CC surcharge BS too, I can't stand it. I've been using www.yourcarpart.com lately, but you do need the part# (easily obtained from foxed.ca) to place the order. Cheaper than both places and only OEM parts so no worries about crap quality...

Anyway, glad it fixed most of your rattle.

I wonder if the little spacers on my hatch hinge pins might not be worn down? Not the easiest things to replace.

I'll just have to yank a bunch of crap out of the car til I find what's making that damn noise!

What if the bracket holding the antenna is hitting the inner fender wall?
Just a thought.

Made an appointment to go get an 87 TII on Monday, super excited!

Also, got a sunroof today!! For FREE!! Well, I traded my blue nasty parts car in to the salvage yard for credit on parts. So I got a sunroof, and can take some other parts as well if I want

came to the realization that its running as good as it ever will on this setup.

also told myself that once i do the shocks and have my seats recovered, i need to stop dumping money into it until i have another viable daily to the point where i can take it off the road for a full resto...

Honeslty I've seen lots of ppl attempt that ... but often it never gets done as life gets in the way .... I'd suggest get a daily ... drive her every week or two and just start picking it at ... while you enjoy it

Last week I picked up a 12a from a road-race prepped '79 FB. It came with a Weber 48 IDA, ported intake manifold, MSD ignition, and an EGT sensor setup. It also came with an ISC road race header and custom exhaust (two 2" pipes all the way to the muffler...4" turnout at the end of the muffler...no pre-silencers). Oh, and it came with a freshly refurbished Miata 5-speed tranny too. All for $1000.

Over the weekend, I pulled the intake and checked the ports to see if there was any porting. Not completely sure...seems like it may have a mild street port. Tucked it all away for a rainy day.

Sold my RB Holley 12a intake setup and RB street header, since I won't be needing them now. Made back 80% of my outlay for the above.

Last night, installed new rotors and wheel bearings on my GSL-SE front spindles. Waiting on some speed-bleeders and then will load the calipers with Hawk pads and install them on the fronts and rears (both spindles and rear axle are still off the car).

fm

^ You mean take it apart to see what kind of jetting has been done? I hadn't planned on it as I didn't want to mess with anything that already works.

The wheels are almost done, they just need the center cap stickers.
Decided to just paint the bolt heads black instead of buying new bolts.

Noticed I got another door ding this week. A friend reminded me that this is a daily driver, not a show car. Its going to get dings if you drive it. His comment was something like

Its a survivor, not a show car. Think of how many of these are no longer on the road. That alone makes it special.

Working on the Stereo in the EV. Still working on the oil lines on the GSL-SE.
