I finished up the carpet in the back of my fb gsl-se and got the materials to do a battery relocation and relays to fix the voltage drop problems i'm having every time i use my headlights..
The photo makes the carpet look a bit yellow and dirty but it's a really nice fluffy white fur.
Here's a photo--

The powerpulse is set up for which ever center section you've got. But to answer, they are 2" or 2.375". Sound kinda small until you realize it's at the end of the system where exhaust gasses contract a bit so requires the pipe size to do the same. I'd go with the 81-82 model myself, the one with the 2.375" inlet. Same ID as thickwall 2.5" pipe = 2.25" ID.
What did I do yesterday? I planned out how to relocate a battery to a storage bin in the brown car. I'd like to get a lot done today.

Think it will be fine on a turbo application? I have 3 inch tubing here that i got for free so id rather not go smaller with the exhaust. but i do want stock looking dual straight exit. or maybe a universal rotor muffler?

well, i put a quart of oil in, hoping to resolve my issue of the hairline crack in my oil cooler fitting, either by replacing or having it welded, soon. its losing a quart every 100-150 miles, and my grandfathers stockpile of 10w40 non-synthetic isn't going to last forever.

This will be what I did to my RX-7 yesterday and today.
I went to a scrap yard a long drive from my house since I was already down in the cities and found a treasure.
Here's the SA I went and had to look at and take the VIN from so I could list it in the scrap metal section of the first gen log here on the forum. There was no interior, no motor or tranny, not much of anything left. Not a half bad looking shell, just nothing I needed.
1980 RX-7 (I believe it was a GS edition)
The whole reason I was at the yard was to look at this car. I have needed to swap out my beehive since I bought the car and figured this was my chance.
I 1990 S5 TII RX-7
Ididn't know it was a TII - it was just listed as a "1990 RX-7 'Black' " so I figured it was worth the extra hour drive. My heart sank when I saw the TII badge on the side and I was right - no motor, tranny hanging by a single bolt, no driveshaft or rear end, absolutely no interior, motor gone as well as the whole exhaust - engine bay almost bare.
Then I looked for the thing I had come for. Almost none of the fins are bent on the front or the back, a small oil spot near the lines and drain plug - probably from the lines leaking due to bad crush gaskets (hopefully). On inspection I can't find any cracks, but I will continue the search.
Front Mount Oil Cooler from the TII - lines were cut so they didn't have to deal with taking off the banjo bolts off the block. Sucks for me, but I'm glad they left the front of the lines on.
Fuseable links - all still good.
So I get to check out and I'm expecting the bill to come to God only knows what. I won't say exactly what the price was, but I will say that she billed me out for the fuseable links and cooler and it came to a little more than half a $20!!!!
On another note, tonight I got my 14" E-fan and 180degF installed and working. Love it, does really help with the spool to redline when warmed up. Nothing huge, but I was really excited to finally get that done.
My E-Fan installation tonight.
Will have the oil temp gauge installed tomorrow so I can start collecting data as for the differences in oil pressure and temperature between the beehive and the oil cooler. I'll be sharing my findings in a writeup dealing with the beehive VS. FMOC.

i drove my se to go look at another 7 a friend told me about sitting behind a shop. turns out to be another se but the motor has been changed and im not sure what year 13b it is. it has a weber and looks like a 4 port, but it has i think is a 2nd gen thermostat housing, any easy way to tell which 13b it is? the body is ruined it got vandelized about a year ago so i would only be getting it for the drivetrain.
