Removed the bad portion of my engine wiring harness out yesterday. Going to spend some point today dissecting it and deciding the routing for my new from scratch one.

Bought the 80 total ft. of various colored 14 & 16 ga auto wire I'm using for my new harness routing & tuck project (pics will follow only months down the road when I finally do a build thread).

Got the car down to Rotary Performance and got the gasket/o-rings replaced.
It didn't cost as much as the estimate was, ran me at $300.04.
Great way to celebrate my Birthday.

Dropped the front bumper & left headlight off in prep for pulling the driver's fender and realized its a beautiful car even without a jaw.

That they do; I once left a paper towel stuffed in the bottom water pump inlet of my 73 Satellite when finishing an engine swap, to prevent dripping. Forgot it was there, put the hose on, finished the install and started up...

You can imagine the effect of all that wood pulp dissolved in the antifreeze, after it was sucked into the pump and pureed nicely. stuff in the rad looked like homestyle orange juice.

I spent part of last night reading through section 1A of the FSM, plotting out my test procedures for this weekend.

Last night I:
disassembled my carb
cleaned it out with aerosol carb cleaner
blew out all the passages with compressed air
cut a new gasket out of cork (waiting for my order of new gaskets to come in from Racing Beat)
Re-assembled everything
Drove her 60 miles and put a tank of fuel in her.

I need a new water pump (it's leaking a bit from the weep hole) and I need to change out my intake manifold. Tonight the intake manifold will happen.

Ordered a complete set of suspension bushings from re-speed! Now that she's idling much better after the TPS adjustment...it's time to make her ride better too.
