Gave myself a fun weekend project to practice welding. It goes through the RB header/presilencer then dumps out behind the passenger door so this thing is freakin loud!!

I can probably only put up with it for a week... Sounds amazing redlining through tunnels!

Got my 1980 started up for the 1st time using engine starter fluid after swapping my nikki for a 45 dcoe weber and deleting my air pump. And got a face full of exhaust smoke to the face while trying to adjust the carb. Because I got that tube coming g out of the thermal reactor straight up because the air control valve came off with the old nikki. And the other tube coming from cat (I think) toward the engine. I need to figure out what to do with that. But who doesn't like a face full of exhaust smoke?

My wife and I pushed my new and free to me 85 GSL into the shop, tried to turn engine over by hand but no joy, plenty of MMO and sit over night. I'm a little worried because the fan is missing and waterpump bearing is shot, overheat?

Got my car back on the road. Bought a gsl lsd that a guy told me was a 84. Well it wasnt ended up being a small bearing lsd. So i swapped my gslse lsd onto the gsl ring gear and pinion gear and installed into the small bearing housing also swapped over my gslse big driveshaft flange. Bolted it all up filled her with fluid and took her for a spin. Man she moves quick wit the frankendiff and the jeff20byaw nikki. Now time to mount turbo and 12at motor and burn some rubber lol

Built an auxiliary cold air box and put up a video on Youtube documenting how I did it. Test fit it last night...next I need to get a few more bits from the hardware store to complete the air box install.

It was warm Saturday so I washed my light beige se and then did the yearly paint nourishing with show car glaze Let it sit for 8 hours, wiped off and oxidation is gone. Looks new again.

wankel, I love your garage!

Seriously, I'm a sucker for a wide-body, so I approve!

Finished the secondary air box this evening. Pulled everything out and am taking it into my paint guy to get painted.

Also, got my 15" SSR MkIII 15x8 and 15x9s on the car this evening.

Those suit the car well, and it looks like the fitment is perfect!

wankel=awesome: widebodies are awesome, and you're going to need a lot more tire!

10"-12" wide with proper offsets will get the job done.

I have 16x9 and 16x11 meshies but 16" tires at the widest are about 225-245mm.

Im going to have a lot of tire stretch I think.

Yeah, I'm ashamed to say my SSRs cost $100 short of what I originally paid for my FB. With the tires, it was about $1000 over.
