Today, painted the back-side rubber housing of the front side markers white, to make the amber have a lighter glow to it, trying to match the euro turn signals which are a much lighter color. Also refurbing the rusted euro turn signal housings, will splice them into the wire tuck tonight. Picked up some super bright LED bulbs, I'm curious to see if these lights act as running lights, or if they will be more of an accent light.
Got some new wheel polish that a buddy was raving about, going to give it a shot and see how it performs: Motorcycle Metal Polish - Motorcycle Metal Polishing | Bike Magik
Will put up some pics of the euro turn signals when I get them installed.

I am having the aluminum bits of my custom dash fabricated, so I've had 3 weeks or so of down time. Last night, I installed an RB oil pressure/oil temp sandwich plate on my oil filter pedestal. The instructions warned about making sure the seal was seated properly before tightening. Sure enough, it wasn't so it puked oil when I started the car. Pulled it off. RB is sending me a new seal to replace the pinched seal. I'll attach it with Vaseline next time.
The vid below is from my last autocross run with the Santa Clara Corvettes group at Marina Airport on 8/25/15. My second time running with the peripheral port. No tuning yet. Tires are old as dirt. Placed in the top 1/3.

Also Prepping for JCCS tomorrow and also sweating like a pig in the garage! I was hoping for some nice mid 70's temps tomorrow but looks like it will be in the mid 80 at the show...

Wasn't much "grass" left in the grassy area at JCCS. But it was still a good time, though hot.
Took home "2nd Place Best RX-7;" highest I've ever placed at this show in 7 years' attending. Whoot!

Got out and about
Went to a bi monthly car show, the Rx7 got a lot of love. Novelty. 4 cars with carbs, me and 3 GM. Lots of newer mustangs, vettes, subarus, camaros.
Amazingly, my paint got a lot of compliments. A lot of kids thought it was a "wrap".

Redid my ignition setup and used a 2G coil for the leading so that the other TFI coil would be the
new trailing coil. I made the mistake of grabbing the traiing high tension lead on the dizzy to make
sure I was getting trailing spark to the dizzy and about stopped my old heart when I pulled it off
while the car was running. Won't do that again and yes very strong spark indeed.
Nice showing at JCCS guys. We need a lot more pics tho.

Nice JCCS pics!
Yesterday and today I pulled my driveshaft and had a local shop rebuild it and balance it with new Moog U-Joints.
I was getting an extremely bad vibration even at low speeds and was convinced it was the driveshaft. When I pulled it out yesterday one (or 2) bearings on the front yolk were almost completely seized.
After reinstalling it today my car feels like new again. I am convinced that the shaft has been slowly starting to go in the time I've owned the car as it has always had vibration issues.
Very happy now, the car is very smooth and I can finally use the potential of the RB Street Port exhaust I installed earlier. Really runs well now.
