The liquid type? I used the dust. Either way, no leaks is no leaks. Good show!

Thanks, Ray - - I think my spare is worthy, I just want it check it thoroughly before I go to the effort of swapping it. Drum brakes = more work pulling axles.

It would help if I could remember why I swapped it out in the first place, but that's gotta be better than 10 years ago.

Removed the sliders from my mazdaspeed seat. Now to slightly mod the bracket. Gave it a bath, went for a 40 mile loop.

Installed a standalone CO2 actuated 6-port system, tunable in 100rpm increments.

(wired for VDI upon installation of EFI system tomorrow)

Last night my friend and I dropped the axle from the FB with no major drama. OK, well, I did skin a knuckle pulling the springs off the brake shoes. The bushings in the control arms were softer than I expected, but the bushings on at least one end of each link have depressions in them, so they're all getting replaced.

Today I'm changing the thermostat, accell 8mm plug wires, new plugs (won't be here until Monday though. ..) and re adjust the carb for my altitude. Might even bash the plugged cat out and fix the exhaust leaks

I installed a new cap rotor, I goofed and didn't mark which cable went to each coil. Now I'm worried about attempting to start it. Anyone care to tell me? (Stock 83 ignition btw)

Put her up on her storage skates and covered her up; not going to have a chance to play with her for a few weeks most likely. Wife's bootstrapping a business.

Front = trailing
rear = leading

It is easy once you understand the wires don't cross over each other. Crossing over would be bad for spark leakage/rubbing over time.

I worked on the MG's clutch pedal today. I'm making it talk to the FC clutch master and slave combo on the REPU 4 speed. No FB content other than a set of Y plates. I guess that counts.

This weekend:

Installed high-pressure fuel pump. Took a shower in gasoline.

Assembled throttle body inlet (with air temp sensor tapped) through to dynamic chamber, installed VDI into VDI manifold, assembled fuel rail, assembled 6 port actuators, then went to install fuel rail assembly and discovered that it doesnt fit the fuel injectors. So I might have to take it to a local fab shop and have them correct the issue.

I'm missing the hardware to bolt the manifolds together / to the car, and I'd prefer to have shiney new stuff anyways, so off to the hardware store after work tonight.

They sent me the wrong t-bolt clamps and silicone reducer couplers, so i have to exchange those. Hopefully they'll be here in the next day or two.

I was hoping to be EFI by now, but inevitably there are road blocks along the way. The goal was to have everything done by this weekend for Old School Reunion car show - it'll be a crunch but we'll see if i can get everything together by then.
