There are usually 3 - 4 two day events per year.
The earliest one is usually our first race of the year (early May).
The best one is July 3rd/4th at Grand Valley State University. Great big smooth lot, blistering heat, minimal shade. What more could you ask for?
Plus, there are usually two events at Michigan State University (each one a two day event). The lots are small, but we usually get a great course by combining a couple of them. I can't recall when the first one is usually held, but the second one was mid August this year. These are both very good events.
www.furrin.org will give you most of the race schedule for the year, but dates for next year probably won't go up until Spring when they can be confirmed.

We hold it right on the campus, using one of their biggest lots. Check out my videos, I posted some of this year's race that was shot externally to show the size we have to work with, and some internal to give you an idea of the course we used (and will probably re-use next year). It was like 90 seconds of freeway onramps! Awesome!

Thanks Ray! I can barely sleep anymore due to the building excitement.
My shoulders are KILLING ME! after all that wax on/wax off BS yesterday.
A couple ours with rubbing compound, a couple more with cleaner wax,
another couple with the polish, and then a final wax.
And that was just the hood and tops of the front fenders!
I have so much more to do. lol. But it makes such a difference...
Then I have to add a touch of toe in on the passenger side wheel
(I think the Bravado may have adjusted it slightly for me). A
nd I need to hardwire my radar detector, etc, etc. Gonna be a busy day....

I wish. Every to-do that you can think of seems to have reared it's head this past winter and into this spring. Biggest one was that we lost about 40% of my automotive plant, in Howell, to a fire several weeks ago and it's been all-consuming getting things back on track.
I was commenting to my wife that I was bummed about my lack of progress after seeing yours and she said that you must not have a job or kids. I told her you had both.
I'll be happy to complete the body work and get it painted this summer. After that, re-assembly will be a breeze.

I'd offer to let you come over and race my car, but it looks like I've already got two protege's this year. Three drivers per event is already kinda pushing things.
If you're coming to MSU in August, maybe I'll catch up with you there. I'm right down the road.
Or perhaps I'll head out to Grattan at some point this season. Been wondering how the Odyssey would handle a road course...

lol. One of the local hotshot drivers will bring out his wife's minivan with the Hoosiers on it for H-Stock. He usually places mid-pack, believe it or not.
Since MSU is an out of town event, there is a good chance that one of my "students" will not be able to attend. If that is the case, you'll be welcome to race my car at that event... Bring your son along and he can ride shotgun with you on your runs.

as per usual, i'm late to the party. let me extend my condolences for your ordeal. however, i'm glad to see you (and Red
) back up and running. you almost made it look easy. my car (appears to have) sustained much less damage than yours and it's been sitting now for damn near 4 years.
you mentioned taking it to Atlanta. make sure to report how it behaves on the trip. it must feel good to both of you, to be back on the open road.
