Sorry to hear about this **** Mark. If you need any help, let me know. I'm only a couple of hours from GR, and I have a few decent pick-n-pull yards in the Detroit area (if something isn't available from Northern Indiana). I'm available all day tomorrow to give you a hand wrenching. I'll PM you my number.
Holy crap dude. I'm off the forum for a couple of days, and find out about this happening to you. I'm glad your okay. Sucks about the car. Just remember, it can be fixed if you want it to.
It just kills me that people get hammered, and still get under the steering wheel and drive. Some people are just stupid......

Starting the teardown now. I've got the front bumper off, and have found that one of the shocks for the bumper is badly tweaked.
I'll keep you guys posted on the progress and my findings. Thanks again for everyone's support.

I want to give a great big THANK YOU! to forum member Waldog ( https://www.rx7club.com//member.php?u=126132 )
Not only did he find the parts I needed, but he went to the junkyard and pulled them all off the car for me. Then, he drove 3 hours each way to deliver them to my doorstep!!!
I had never met, or spoken with this guy before. He heard about my car, and started working on a solution for me. And he's not even a 1st gen owner (2nd gen, but don't hold that against him)!
When I asked him why he was doing this, he told me that he had broken down before and somebody helped him out. Great guy.

Wow, I hate to see this happened to you man. I hate drunk drivers. That is so reckless. I wouldn't care if they could only hurt themselves, but unfortunately that isn't the case.
I am glad no one was seriously injured...except that pretty ole rex. Luckily it wasn't anything serious. It should be ready to head down south for more meets in no time!
I hate that the guy got away, but he will get what's coming to him down the line. Just as stated above, Karma.

Well, I've got all of the body panels off the car. Close inspection has revealed some crumpled areas that I'll have to deal with before mounting the new parts. The cross member that runs along (in front of) the top of the radiator is the worst. The passenger side hood hinge mount has been moved inboard about 1" or so.
I'm trying to decide how to deal with that right now. Not sure if I should just try to bend it back, or if I should cut the whole section out and weld in a section from a parts car. Maninblack has offered to assist with parts and welding if I go the cut/weld route.
Right now (as always) the biggest problem is time. Between work and family, there's just not enough to go around right now.

Wow, I have been traveling for work and I missed all of this!
Sorry to hear about that. I have mad respect for your car and I hate to see one of the greats have fallen. She will rise again. Since you coined my car 'Nemesis" my I suggest Phoenix for your car?

Billy, thanks again for the offer. I think I'll be all set though, because Maninblack has a couple of shells "out back" and has offered to pick the car up, take it down to his shop, cut the old sections out and weld in the new sections. So, if that is the route I have to go, most everything is already lined up for me.
Sam, I'm always happy to have you in town.
I don't think you'll need to make a special trip over for this though. Most of the work shouldn't be too difficult, it's really just a matter of getting the time to address the situation.
Mazdaverx713b, I've been wanting to snap some photos of the damage so I could get some expert input on how to address it. Hopefully this weekend I'll get a chance, although I'll be working long shifts straight through til Monday
Thanks again for everyone's support. This would have been a real nightmare to go through without you guys and your parts/technical/moral support.
