11-03-09 OGTA meeting

11-03-09 OGTA meeting:

There was a full moon.

Here’s the 12A count:

2 SAs = 3 12A’s (New guy Russ, Andy)
1 REPU = 2 12A’s (Crit)
6 FB’s = 6 12A’s (Greg the Elder, Geraldo, Chris, Ben, Juno, Ray)
1 FC (Collin) = 0.5 12A’s
1 FE (Kevin aka Trip) = 0.16 12A’s
4 boingers = 0 12A’s (Billy, Holly, Cristy, Gene)

Total 12A’s = 11.66, a good group.

Here’s the pics:

New Guy Russ and his very pretty 79 SA (Russ has owned and raced many old school rotaries; he also currently owns a silver ’93 FD which he promises to bring to a future meet. I’ll get a better photo of him then)

Crit and his newly refinished REPU fenders

Ben’s FB

Juno’s FB(SE)

Collin’s FC and Trip’s FE

Chris and his new Sexy Pants II (still needs work)

Nice cars, consider yourselves virtual OGTA members until you get moved down here. The south side of Atlanta isn't that far but Atlanta traffic can be an issue on a Tuesday evening after work. There are some folks from down there who show up, they can give you more specifics. In the mean time enjoy your virtual membership, that's a nice pair of SA's! (Being SA's, they'd be worth 3.0 12A equivalents, which would pump up our 12A count, not to mention giving Juno's teal FB(SE) some company

Michael and Dave, we can make arrangements at the Rotary Hotel in Suwanee or the Jefferson Inn in Jefferson if you don't want to drive home after the meet.

We have a match for that one too, looks like you and Chris have a lot in common:

Chris' 83 GSL was featured in this recent OGTA project:

Do the swap. SA calipers are a pain in the butt, as are the drums. A few brake line fittings should be all that stop you!
