After going almost 18 months without missing a meet I was not about to let this be my first. Took about 6 hours yesterday to swap jesse's drive train into my car. It was pretty easy I just dropped the whole sub frame till it was hanging on the sway bar links, Out with the old in with the new. Jacked it back up and tightened it down. It was a little tricky getting it aligned but nothing that a little leverage couldn't fix. I almost just waited to install the parts till I could get a pinion snubber but I am glad I didn't because I figure when my diff mount breaks It will only take a couple hours to change both. So I will be making it in my 7 and finally be able to put the power to the ground without clutch slippage or a one wheel burn out. Thank you jesse for the good deal, only cost me 200 more than a costom d-shaft and I got a turbo transmission. Best of all everything seems to be in great condition.
My car is no were as fast as your evo jesse but I would still like to give you a quick ride and show it to you. When you decide to part your fc out I want dibs on the suspension and 4 piston calipers if you have them.
and you can have dibbies on the suspension, but its a 4-lug, so no such luck on the 4-pistons.... its got rinki-dink single pistonis'

My bumper won't be on in time. I decided to have a guy that usually paints our sandrails to do my bumper for me. He just now picked it up today. So ill be rollin with the old.
My friend Ron who comes with me decided to bring his BMW 5 series with him tomorrow, the thing can corner fairly well for a boat. I wouldn't be surprised if he could out drive me in the 7 since I'm usually timid on public roads and haven't tracked the thing at all. He's got some road course experience but he mostly comes from a circle track background.
WOW! great meet everyone! it was a good turnout, and a great run! thanks to everyone who came! especially the palmdale and arizona people, hope the meet was worth the drive!
we did stop
Long enough for Jessie to remove the front bumper of his car. (no joke, pulled out the tool bag and went to work)
I was wondering where you went.
We all need to start exchanging cell numbers before the cruise

we went up the 18 and down the 138...... yeah, i blew an intercooler pipe like 10 minutes into the run, so the pulled over into a turnout for like 20 minutes waiting for me to take my front bumper off, fix the pipe, and reinstall.... we also stopped before red road for a while
sorry you missed it, it was fun, you should have called me.. i would have had the group wait

thanks to evryone that was at the meet yesterday,it was well worth my four hour drive and i m looking forward the next meets. it was better than i expected! and nice pics!
yeah we did stop and wait several times. I would say in total we were sitting on the side of the road for over a half hour. (for Jesse and the normal turnout)
Anywhoo, thanks everyone for coming, it was nice to see everyone!
Hopefully we will get some more pics soon.

This was a fun cruise.
And for those that I tried to 'race' . . . . yes, that was full throttle in that Toyota, I wasn't playin, I actually downshifted and floored it.
It was kinda funny to watch the EVO pull away so quick. And there was a black FC there that at freeway speeds seemed to leave me like i had hit the brakes.
Good times, Good times.
But now I need a turbo kit fot the MR-2.
It can keep up in the handling sections. But goin up that hill . . . . . . that little hamster was sweating.

Great pictures! Was that you driving the Porsche and slamming 17 cones?
I sure wish I could have been at the meet last Saturday to see your Miata. That thing sure looks like a fun racer.
I replaced the clutch master cylinder this weekend with my dad in my brother's car. To unscrew that thing, it sure is a pain. The top screw is very high up beneath the driver's side dash.
Only thing left to do on his car is swap out the ABS unit for a bypass, shocks, springs, and tires. I'm going to give him my ~6 month old Tokico Illuminas with Racing Beat springs and put on KYB AGXs with Tanabe GF210s on mine.
