Hey Rob-
Here's the link to the spacer co. I mentioned. I've heard good things about them. I was wrong about Santa Fe Sprgs. though. Looks like they be in Canoga park.

BTW the video on the home page is funny as S$%#.

Well my to-do list is done and man am I glad i went the extra mile. The sparks were heat rated at 5 versus the new 8's. Lucky I didn't detonate, that is even hotter than stock recommends. Also, ditched the silicone seal on the valve cover for the stock o-ring type. Hopefully there isn't any silicone in my oil pick up right now waiting to clock the squirters for the pistons. I am ready for the track yo! But first I'm going to be hitting a dyno this weekend in LA at a buddy's starquest/BBQ/Dyno day/ Bday party. Any guesses on power? I'm thinking 230whp. Keep in mind stock was about 154bhp.
Here's my before/after cold air:

Be sure to post the dyno sheet. Lets see if you can top my 110 to the wheels.

Spacers?
Who needs spacers?

I have a set of Aluminium Ichibi's here. Don't need them, but for some reason I have them

I cleaned up under the hood a bit.

It could still use more, but at least its getting better.

I really need to re paint under the brake booster where brake fluid has eaten the paint.

the biggest change is in the valver cover on the top, and the drivers side wheel well... also vacume brake line.

before:

after

EDIT: yeah, l'm comparing the two pictures..... it really does not look THAT much cleaner does it?.... hmmm... all well, i tried. I know its a lot cleaner, In person I can see the change.

^ Looks good Casey! Sometimes the camera doesn't seem to do justice to our old, but clean, engine bays. Especially night shots in the garage. Those eyes on the VC are cool.

Yes, his wife (the car owner ) would not let him do anything beyond rolling the fenders.

on a related note. at the last Pro Solo, it was very cool to work for the SM2 group. The Evo (tom's) was up against the FD, at launch the Evo riped the RX-7 a new one. then the seven would come blasting up on it for an even turn away..... it was soooooo sweet!

Keep in mind the Eo is NOT a true SM2 car.... its a true BSP car.

..... EDIT... wait a second. the Evo is not an SM2 car at all, its an SM car..... ohhh I got it... it was Ladies class..... yeah that must have been it. that would be the only reason the Evo would be up agains that RX-7. am I correct Jason?

Hmmm. I thought engine swaps from donor cars w/out the same name weren't allowed in Prep or modified classes. I guess I need to read the rules again. I've been thinking about a 4g64 swap w/ DSM 1g head and accessories. In other words an eclipse meets mighty max motor.

Here's my future rims. Hopefully tax returns are kind this year FNO1 FTW!
Also, was looking at some dyno sheets from cars w/ similar mods and the one at my same boost had 235whp and 290 torque. We'll see

Well if you can swap any engine into your car from another car built by the same company, may I suggest this? Its got a 60,000 rpm redline 130 hp, 425 ft. lbs.

If there is not 5 cars in a class at a Pro you bump to an index class, so you run on the ProSolo pax with all the other cars that did not make a class.

there is a Ladies practice/school at California speedway. they hold it once a year. it is intended to be super low pressure and a lot of fun for the ladies. sign your wife/girlfriend/friend with benefits/mom up for this event. for the ladies taught by the ladies. (some of the best women drivers around)

Guys are very helpful in picking up cones...

Michelle did it once, and she absolutely loved it!

That's funny. I may have twice the power but our times are usually pretty darn close.

Casey, I need to order my Mazdaspeed decal kit for the program. I'm thinking of getting them in black so I can put them on white background magnets like the ones you gave my dad and I. Where did you get those magnets?
