Jason, Damon.
either of you have a real number yet. I hate to make Rob's then have to do your later. leme know.
also all 3 of you, I do not have any magnet. you all took the last of it last time.
I will make you the numbers, but your gonna have to go get some from S&W (or where ever you want.)
From S&W you can buy a 1'X2" for something like $10? maybe its only $5... heck I dont remember, its not much though. you only need a foot. (it comes two feet tall, and how ever long you need.)
we can put the decal on the magnet at the track.

Sweet! When are you comming out Ryan? BTW, Congrats on your house!
I'd love to see any of your cars on the track. There's a AE86 hatch that just got parked down the street that looks like a sweet project.
Casey- Thanks for the heat wrap again. I'll look into fees for next year tomorrow.

Everything I have ever read says some people have a problem with mounting the afm like that, and some people dont. the results are pretty much inconclusive as to it being a problem. I figured I would give it a try. I did loosen the spring inside to help with the gravity. when reving it up, it sounds nice and healthy. of course thats not under a load either.
what is different about the one you have? and dont you mean it would be a vertical mount afm?

Mine is a Horizontal mount. Side flow, not up/down flow.

so the one you have is like the one I have??? meant to be mounted sideways, not up and down like I have it???
yeah, like I said. I have heard seeral people go both ways (ha ha) about it. some say it does cause problems, some poeple say they do it and never see a problem. so I figured I will be one of those peopleand give it a wack. worse case, it causes problems and I have to move it again. no biggy. I will just turn it to the side from where it sits now. but I will worry about that if the times comes. I am happy with the placment and would like to keep it that way IF i can.
so any new news on the MR2? it about done?

Mr2 just got new plugs, wires, rotor and cap.
Still runnin rough, so I need to get it timed. I hope I was not off by a tooth on the timing belt.
But it runs, I just got the parts to hook up the shifter cables, and bought a new throttle cable.
All I need now is an exhaust system, timing, smog, and registration.

Well it looks like I'm going to be official by tomorrow as car #402. I won't need #'s though Casey. I've got a woman in Banning who's been doing some embroidery work for me and she's going to throw in my #'s when I come to pick up a shirt this week. I'm going to grab some magnet stuff for Rob and Jason while I'm there.
I joined CASOC, however I felt NO$ has a pretty cool name, and will hopefully be able to waive SCCA fees this weekend as well. Can't wait till race day!

ha ha ha.... nah, that usually wont work. they will make changes. but you are welcome to take video. I am always down for watching someone I know autocross.
you and steph should go to the race on Sunday. you can both drive what ever car you bring. (yours or hers). its fun when you get a big group going together.

You are both considered seperate drivers and are assigned different car #'s to diferentiate who is actually driving to help record times. You will both get the full/ normal amount laps each. Don't forget student id's to save some money.
yeah, your allowed up to 3 drivers per car.. but it has to be 2 guys and 1 girl...and the female has to run a seperate class if im not mistaken

^^^ what he said...

My car has two drivers as well.
we both work at the same time, we both drive at the same time. (well not the SAME time, but in the same group.) the only difference is when you have a multiple driver car, is when you grid. When you have a multi driver car you grid in the multiple drivers line. this line is run though a little more often to keep them moving.
so to answer your question, come on out. both of you. you can both drive the car at the same time. (if you want)
you can also choose to run at different time if you wish. its completely up to you.
because I know this question is coming.... you can only have two drivers at a time. (per run group)
so let say you have 4 drivers that want to drive your SS car. you can have up to two drivers race in SS, but the other two drivers would have to pick another class that runs in another run group.
now on a related but side note, lets say you both came out. you can both have your 3 laps like normal.... you can also choose (when you register) to sign up for X runs. these are in addition to your normal runs.
the way this works:
Lets say you want to run SS... both of you. but you know you are going to want more then 3 laps. you can pay for another set of 3 laps, and you will get 6 laps when your time to run comes.... but of course your first 3 will be the only 3 that count towards your times. the last 3 are just for fun.
hopefully that was more info then you wanted. and hopefully it all made sense.

ohhhh fine...... if you want to get technical, yes you can have a 3rd driver. but it has to be a female. I didnt want to go there cause I didnt want to add EVEN MORE INFO.
but yes, you can do it. it is to encourage women to race as well. and no, she does nto have to run another class. she can run with the boys if she wants to.
since we are on the subjest of women drivers. every lass has a ladies verssion of it. so take my class - CSP. if a woman wanted to run my car, but didnt want to run in CSP with the boys, but wanted to actually get credit for driving (menaing not running time only runs), then she can enter CSPL. (C Street Prepared Ladies).
there you go... more info.
Hey Casey???
Now that I'm preregistered for the race and have my SCCA #'s and paperwork done what do I do when I get to the race. Do I print my license from SCCA.org, skip the scca line, get into the register line to simply check-in and show them the SCCA liscense, and then sign in for work. I'm such a newb...
Thanks,
Damon
Rob- getting the magnet stuff tomorrow and will get your #'s from Casey and have them ready for you.

thats a good question, they are changing things on us.
we should be able to just walk up to the registration booth, and pay (if you didnt pay online) and check-in. just like its always been for us pre registered guys... hopsfully nothing really changes.
as for your SCCA, yeah, just print something that has your SCCA number on it. bring proof so they dont give you a headache. if you have proof that you paid, you should be fine.
also, if you notice on the registration web site. under "my information". you can validate your SCCA.

Sunday forcast:
Sunny skies. High 70F and low 54F.
5% chance of rain.
KICK @$$
should be a GREAT auto cross weather. no working cones for an hour in the 100 degree heat. no rain under the race tires. should be a great day!
only problem will be for us race tire guys.... they do need a little heat. cold days makes that a bit harder. but still, I'd take this weekends weatehr over the last race weather.
