The engine is here
Next week the work begins.

After looking at the rules, I am NOT gonna be competitive.
I will be supercharged
mid engine
and stripped.

So it looks like the prepared class is the best I can fit in to. And I am guessing there will be some really fast cars in that catagory

Casey-
When you ran the Victoracers on the RX8 did you trailer the car to the event, drive to the event on street tires then switch at track, or drive to the track on the Victoracers?

Jake, why would you not be in SM? the MR2 is a compendative car in SM by the way.

Damon, I didnt run Victoracers, I wan the V710's. (the new and good ones). and yes, I put them on at home and drove to and from the tack with them on. but thats it, no running around town on them.

eat my clutch, yes, it is SCCA run and SCCA picked the classes.

DJ, come on out, the C6 is one of the best autocross cars..... ever.

white charisma, finish line, of course you are welcome to come!

Sounds like Street Prepared based on the mods. Specifically the boost controller.

I recommend not getting to worried or caught up on specific classes until you race a time or 2. It's really easy just to show up and run for Xruns(time only) and pick a class to run in based on what your friends are running. Usually the same time as other friends. Here the Nov. 9th event day schedule:
Run Groups
Group Run Work
1 BSP, CSP, STX, STU, FJA, FJB
SS, AS, BS, CS, DS, ES, FS, GS
2 STS, SM, SM2
BSP, CSP, STX, STU, FJA, FJB
3 SS, AS, BS, CS, DS, ES, FS, GS
STS, SM, SM2
Lunch Break/Course Walk
4 SK2, ST2, CSM
ASP, DSP, ESP, FSP, XP, BP, CP, DP, EP, FP, GP, AM, BM, CM, DM, EM, FM, PAX, 125, CPM, FSAE
5 HS, SK1, TRK, HST

exactly what damon said. dont get to caught up in your classing right now. worry about that if and when you decide you want to really run for points. untill then, just come and have some fun in time only runs.

Jason, I know. I told you I think we will bein the morning this month. I dont mind though, this way your done and out by noon. take up les sof the day (at least it feels that way) but yes, your getting up early to make up for it.

we also get the dirty track this time. (first run group gets the dity course)

Current whel: Diamond racing 13x8 steel wheel (roughly 22 pounds) running a 225mm tire.

new wheel: Panasports 13x9" alumminium wheels (roughly 9 pounds) running a 255mm tire.

That is crazy talk Casey! I'm pretty sure you'll win by more than a 100th after you get them. If you don't mind me asking...How much does a rim like that go for?
Thanks,
Damon

...well, its hard to tell, they are no longer made. they have not been made for a long time. but from what I hear and see, about $600 each!!!

this guy is selling all 4 WITH %50 tires for $800.

I am just waiting to see if the guy in front of me is going to get them or not. if not, then they are mine.

the only problem is I really wanted to get a 9.5 or 10" wheel. 9 is close enough and will work for now.

I sure hope I get them.

also, here is a picture of my RX-8 tires. 285's!
