So Cal Auto Cross Thread - Fontana
I still haven't decided for sure what I'm going to do. All I do know is I have an old friend( also co-driver) staying w/ us for the weekend and I'm guessing I'll just beginning to wake up round 1. I figured no better way to get the juices flowing than dodging cones and sliding cars. It would be cool to finish w/ you guys so we could go eat afterwards though.
It seems my dad runs in AS (A Stock) with his S2000.

..... WHAT WHAT WHAT???
It's Raining IN the miata!
CRAP... so we eun out there and back the trailor into the garage, and just close the door as much as we can. then start to dry everything off. the cover to my seat is in the dryer now.
just going to suck for us if its still raining for the tow down there. also will suck if we have to race in it.
and yes, Auto cross will still play in the rain. unless its a down poor and flooding the track.

Casey- Don't remember if I mentioned it, but thank you for the SM magnets and gift for Eagan! Very nice of you and MeShell. How did you like the new tires? I know it may be tough to gauge based on track conditions though.
Rob- Thank you for Eagan's gift! I'm saving it for his birthdate on 11/17. I'm sure he's going to love it. That is if I don't open it first. LOL

your welcome!
the new wheels will really come into play when w get the new 255's. right now we are still running the 225's like we always have been.
so no, it was not really noticable. the track was still wet my first lap. and with the stone cold tires it was like driving on ice. really that first lap was a joke. everytime i hit the throttle the thing would try to come around. (or even just going a little fast in a turn).
once the tires got up on temps and the track dried from having cars run on it, the car started to come back to normal. my 3rd lap felt much more lik eit should have. to bad I just drove like an idiot.
how did everything feel in the quest?
how bout you Jason.
Rob I was working for you, I could tell you were having a hell of a time keeping those rears under you. too much power, not enough tire. Howed you like that back section? with all that power you MIGHT have gotten to use most of it??? I was flat out on that back section many times. I really think I could have flat footed that whole back section if I had the *****. problem was i was already on the rev limiter 3 times back there. but everytime I would hit it, I would le toff for a sec to make a turn. I couldnt justify 3rd gear.
