Yeah I think the only thing I really use is ABS and thats just cause I still got to get used to the game again.

 

Yeah, that first stop from 100+ mph going into a 90 degree turn with no abs is a real eye opener I just signed up on xbox live and they gave me a free month of gold am on there as "robthechaotic" if anyone cares.

i resealed the oil pan on your car jackie and was working on the boosting oil leak but if you have a change of plans i will just button it up as is. i'll give you a call tomorrow since it's a little late right now and i'm a bit tired after just getting back.

The car seems to be burning oil normally so I haven't really worried about it. I took off the lines and then put em back on so there was a little air bubble and I watch as it proceeded slowly up the line so thats a ghetto test I did lol. I still throw in a little premix just to be safe though. With that said though I am getting a progressively louder exhaust leak. Sounds like its coming from around the precat T_T probably just gonna have it welded instead of gasket repair XD. Though I am not too sure about that.

Another exhaust leak? Dang. And I already had all the gaskets and stuff replaced not long before I sold it to you. =/
It was really bad, like the cabin would fill with exhaust fumes and I couldn't drive it for more than a few minutes without my head getting all light lol.

Maybe can take it to an exhaust shop, I think they'll look at it for free so you at least know where and what exactly its coming from. If it does turn out to be the pre-cat now could be a good time to get the Bonez high-flow cat + pre-silencer combo from rx7.com =P

Oh and did you ever replace the mufflers or still rocking the non-tail pipe style? xD

 

Still rocking non tail pipe style lol. When I have some extra cash I am thinking of getting some magnaflows welded on or maybe going the an RB catback... as for tbe high flow cat+presilencer combo... if only I had the money.. I was actually looking at the yesterday ha ha. Thinking I might just replace the gaskets from the manifold to the Y pipe just to be safe. 50 bucks to get them! Shipping is like the same as the items themselves! I was gonna leave well enough be but its starting to get pretty loud lol.

Anyone know if you have them order the parts at the store (refering to kragen) if its cheaper?

 

Have you thought about hitting the junk yard for some new mufflers? I've actually seen some that are nice and I was going to replace them that way before I sold it.

 

Never thought of that actually, might head to pick n pull sometime and check that out. anyway just order me some gaskets going to replace them next weekish.

I have an extra "Y-pipe" back with mufflers if you want it. Just come get it. The only issue is that one of the muffler tips rusted off, so you'd have to replace it. It still works fine and does not sound loud at all, it's just a bit louder and does not look as cool.

But it's FREE.

 

nah its all good, I like the symmetry of missing both tips XD. My real issue is just those gaskets lol. I started it up this morning and it kind of freaked me out, its like its loudest after the car has been sitting overnight lol.

ha ha so I started the 7 today and was revving it to see if I could see where the exhaust leak was coming from and bam a flame came out of the heat shield around the manifold XD so I think thats it. Got my package but they forgot to ship the freaking manifold gasket. Still kind of worried though, the gaskets I got are bosal and I am not sure if they'll last long. Worse comes to worse I can always do the welding thing =P.

On another exhaust note, I really want to get a true dual system o.o

I've looked into true duals, really without heavy porting and an aftermarket carb to back them up they're just a waste of money.

The best NA bang for buck you can do really from what I've seen is the bonez high-flow cat + pipe/silencer or RB pre-silencer. And maybe a header too.
