I know i haven’t updated this thread in a minute. The biggest update i can give is that i’m scheduled to take my car to another shop on April 4th who is glad to help me get her finished if not done before that date. It has been worked on. Aluminum radiator pipes have been completed for my v mount set up. Now it requires relocation of the battery, installation of engine harness, aem coils wired, spark plug wires to be made, hotside endtank to be welded on, hotside IC pipes, and the welding on my bov. Break in tune then good to go. Yes i know i said if not done by march it will go elsewhere. Well shops availability around me...there were none. Not til April . Now with all this covid 19 going on it made everything tougher in terms availability and what not. I’d like to think that with this covid 19 **** going on and essential businesses are only to remain open here in CA such as repair shops that there should be more than enough time for my vehicle to finally be completed at west coast AM . Regardless of the facts thanks for still checking in on my situation gents, it’s good to know that the community cares, stay safe everyone, cheers.

Up here, repair shops are considered essential enough to stay open during this shelter-in-place order (I even got an alignment done a few days ago, haha)
I imagine it shouldn't be different down there.

How did the move to the new shop go?

 

Rough, it’s still there and now i don’t know til when. I was told two weeks ago that he’d be out of state for two weeks..yesterday i contacted to ask what day this week i could come get it now and was told that now they aren’t sure when they’ll be back due to the virus situation.....that their shop will remain closed until California relieves the safer at home order.. i’ve had to push back my appointment with the other shop and now i will have to push it back til who knows when and they’ve been expecting me.

Let's be honest with ourselves here. Angel Motorsports (West) has been very dishonest. What he's done to you is absolute moral turpitude. California has specifically listed "Automotive repair and maintenance facilities" as an essential business. Utilizing this pandemic as his reason to continue the delay is complete hogwash. He is just trying to use something else to blame for his lack of integrity, business ethic, and and sense of human decency. I just checked your first post. It's been THREE FKN YEARS?!?!!!!! He has several recent pics on Instagram... social distancing my a*s. check out this screenshot from his own Instagram account stating the exact opposite of what he told you. Add this lie to the pile of BS coming from his mouth.

to be fair i guess he told me his landlord is being a ***** about all this given that its not registered or whatever as a repair shop but a hobby shop apparently. Something about fines and all this stuff that could occur if still open cause of it, idk how all that shop business and license stuff works but yeah. Makes me regret not just coming for my car in mid march and bringing it home and towing it to the other shop until they had space for me. My triple A (yes i actually have it through my family i didn’t know til just recently) expires in May so i hope to hell i can retrieve it before then

 

oof, hopefully you can get your car out soon. The difference between "hobby" and business potentially affects taxes and if this shop gets caught up in possible tax evasion, your car will sit there longer. That's a whole other rabbit hole no one wants to go through. Can you just ask him to push your car outside and you'll send a tow truck? I'd get my car out ASAP not just because of the delays, but for the possibility of the situation I just discussed which I hope is not the case.

Samething happened to me years ago to my fc. All the same excuses he gave you i got the same answer. I have the same exact experience as you but after a 2 years I said **** it and went to pick up my car and took it to dna.

 

I meet him once to buy a part off him he was cool, sorry this happened to you and everyone else.

I know he might be cheaper then other shops but I rather pay for a deadline and have a legit shop work on my car
