I thought the dude on Facebook calling out AM-West (John Vargas) was you, but turns out it was someone else. Watching the Vargas brothers act like it's a one off when there are clearly other victims just exposes the BS game they're playing. I'ts a shame Michael got dragged in to defend John's lazy and poor business acumen since Michael seems to have better work ethic than John. Not sure why Michael hasn't considered dropping the dead weight since his brother's actions are only hurting his reputation since more people are willing to speak up

If it makes you feel any better, the shop I had taken my car to had lost/misplaced my original (not replica) RE-Amemiya front bumper, and is making no attempt to find it, nor reimburse me for it's value... Hmmm what to do next 🤔

Went to small claims, we settled, he has failed to meet ANY terms of his settlement and I filed for a motion of judgement and the judge ruled in favor of me. (because John obviously violated the settlement agreement he agreed to lmao)
He still has the car and I've asked to pick it up but it's been radio silence lmao.
My plan is to take this car to another shop and take this 5k to have them go through everything. I paid for a bunch of new parts, if any of the parts that I paid for new aren't (he tried to install a used housing without me knowing when I explicitly paid for a brand new one). I'm going right back to court and it won't be small claims this time.
John is easily one of the worst business people on the planet, I beg everyone to stay the hell away from a guy who's more infatuated with seeing his face on social media than the business he pretends to operate.
Take him to small claims, not even a question. Ignore the idiotic concerns of previous posts claiming they couldn't collect, it's EXTREMELY easy to collect on an LLC, especially someone who cannot stop bragging about his property on social media.
PM me if you want to explore legal option and what I would recommend. I cannot stand people screwing others and this has become a personal crusade for me, especially because he has zero remorse (should of seen him shaking and crying to me at the court house begging for the settement because he knew he wasn't gonna win lmao, fool me once). Take him to court, do the community a favor and take the opportunity to flush scum the **** out.
Been a while since i updated this thread and i know many of you have been wondering whats been going on. First and foremost, Angel Motorsports came through and has done a great job at finishing my car, John has done a great job . Secondly, our deal was that once he pulled through and completed the work that this thread would cease to exist (didn’t know only admins had that power to remove threads you started) but admins won’t drop the post because they think it would be helpful for future customers while others here just want to hurt the business reputation. This thread was never about hurting the shops reputation but members on here escalated it to that after mentioning of between who this previous issue was with. Slander, false accusations, etc. Throughout this whole situation i have remained civil and even tried to remind those who came on here **** posting and slandering that this isn’t a **** posting thread several times. I’m thankful for those who gave useful advice and those who checked in often. At the end of the day, Angel Motorsports and John Vargas made things right with our situation and proved otherwise. I also want to remind everyone that legal action is first of all beyond me. I never lost any money, and have never had any parts lost or stolen or used for his own or others cars as people say he does which is completely untrue. I have no need to or seek no legal action whatsoever as this whole this has ended well for us and the previous issues have been squashed. He kept his word and completed my car and that’s all that matters to me. Thanks everyone.

Nothing I've said has been slander and is all evidenced from my small claims case. This thread SHOULD be kept up, just because you're ok with having your car held hostage for years while you get jerked around with bogus deadlines doesn't mean ANYONE else wants to.

I want as many people in SoCal who are in the market for getting work done to their Rx7s to get exposed to the kind of realistic customer experience they can expect. This thread is a crucial element of that, especially considering just how egregious it is. Protect other car owners, don't leave them exposed to losing their passion for the vehicle like you've claimed in this thread.

Thought I'd point out before everyone turns into a flame war by internet lawyers/ever gets threatened by a keyboard cowboy/internet lawyer that 'slander' is very specifically the act of defamation by spoken word, whereas 'libel' is the written analogue of defamation of character. If someone is unable to use the proper terms, there's no point in even having the discussion.

gotcha, well here’s the turn out. All done and was ready to go but unfortunately, my fuel system that was made by someone else on the facebook rx7 page made me a complete fuel system only to find my fuel hose underneath my FPR blow the hell off and leak fuel everywhere when the new fuel pump was being tested. So i had to order new rails (the rails he gave me don’t let my fuel injectors sit straight and that bothered the **** out of me especially after the hose blowing off from what he made me) and new vibrant hose and fittings which come in this week. Otherwise she’d have been home already.
