I'm a "maybe" depending on how on or over budget my engine rebuild is.

...is there a possibility to have this run with the inside background tinted or painted black? Not the glass but the inside back that would be the reflector with a regular bulb.

Anybody that's just watching this thread and on the fence about getting them, DO IT!

These are fantastic lights and in my opinion in every way shape and form worth every dollar they ask for.

I love how well I can see now. I planned on getting flush mount headlights when I first got the car but as time passed I began to love how the car looks with the pop ups down more than anything. I was still considered getting flush mounts just due to how terrible the factory light output was. After reading about how some of the flush mounts were as bad or even worse at safely illuminating the road I was back at square one. Because of the price of many options and I also wanted something that I thought looked good as well it seemed finding the correct option for me was going to be difficult. Once I saw the original post about the set they built initially I fell in love with these. It was exactly what I wanted and I luckily was able to squeeze in for a set. These guy's are extremely professional and produce quality products. If you miss out on these you'll kick yourself in the *** later. It's unfortunate that are only available through a group buy since they are such a great safety improvement. Thanks for all the hard work and time you guy's (and girl) put into providing us with these.

I cant guarantee how it would come out, or how long it would last... but it's something we can talk about if you want to shoot me a PM. It could be a pain to get an inside-the-housing coating to A) adhere properly, and B) come out even... though I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of shooting a transparent black/grey over the chrome (dark chrome look). Could come out really nice, especially with a chrome shroud to set it off... hmmm anyone good at photoshop? lets see how it would look mocked up. I'm digging the idea.

Thanks Heath,

What shall I do with the second set of bulbs? Or am I supposed to have a spare set?

Cheers

We'll be placing the order for housings in a little over a week or so... we will NOT be able to order more housings after this point! So if you're not in the GB with a set of housings with your name on it, as much as we would like to... we wont be able to build you a set.

So this GB is going through whether you have the 24 people or not?

yeap. Dan and I literally have laundry list (15+ items deep)of other really exciting parts we want to move on to this summer. We want to finish this last round up and get to the other parts, so we're just gonna run this with however many people we have and finish it up.

We'll buy up the extra housings to make 24 and stock one or two lights on our website. Dan and I are still deciding on retail pricing for kits, but the website pricing will be somewhere between $950 - $975. Long story short, we don't plan on doing another GB on these lights anytime soon, as we really want to move on to this long list of other very exciting parts we have on the way.

Any chance I could buy the housings/projectors/harnesses without the bulbs and ballasts? (I already have those, and they're not cheap :P )

Shoot me a PM. It's not going to save that much on total cost as we buy a number of the parts together... buying them alacrity costs significantly more but if you already have it you may end up saving a little. Anyway, shoot me a PM and we can discuss

You can PM me with any questions, but please add your name to the above list. This is a group-buy on these lights with GB pricing. After the GB is over we will not be running another for the forseeable future as we want to finally get to other parts we are dying to make.
