FD Electric Water Pump Kits

FD Electric Water Pump Kits
We are releasing two different Electric waterpump kits for the FD. The street version uses the OEM waterpump housing. It does not require any modifications to the AC/PS/Charging system. See block off plate below. The race version includes an alternation relocation bracket, and a completely new billet waterpump housing(being reworked at the moment).
Ewp used is this model as we are a Master Warehouse Distributor;

The street kit is looking like it will be around $700 with the EWP and controller. One does not have to use a controller, but it maximizes the setup. Typical piston engine results are 8 to 13BHP. I do have a back to back dyno test lined up on a 2 rotor that makes 700rwhp.
The race version will be substantially more( 3rd photo).
The street version units along with a thermostat bypass plug are in production, and the race parts are being drawn up in CAD...

Let's hear more about the electrical and controls side of things.
Is it variable speed? Will it run after shutdown? What's the amp draw? Does it need a separate coolant temperature sensor?

Sorry on the link guys. Try this one:
http://www.turbosource.com/Davies-Craig-EWP150-p/ts-dc-ewp150.htm
The electrical stats are in one of the photos on above link. Its a 10amp draw.
The controller version comes with a seperate water temp sensor.
Aftermarket configurable standalones should be able to pwm control it, and like the controller keep it on after shutdown. A standalone would not need an extra water temp sensor.
Race kit will have npt ports for turbo cooling lines, low coolant sensors and heatercore.

Very interesting. The guys at MotoIQ.com performed a pretty in-depth radiator comparison recently, it would be fun to see that sort of data for the EWP conversion if you're able to gather it during your other testing.

The " race " kit has been on a test car for over 2 years. However it has not seen much drive time. It makes 480rwhp on pump gas, without any cooling issues.
The system is being revised and we will have pricing in probably 1 to 2 weeks.
You can see the first version of the race kit in the 3rd photo of the 1st post. I will have more detailed photos on the final units.
