Rear bumper question

I noticed that my bumper itself looks fine but years have caught up with it. The area where the license plate goes is kinda warped. It's hard to tell from the pictures but it's top left area of the bolt.. is this something that a body shop can fix or get a new bumper(used). Im in the process of getting engine bay painted while motor is out and after the motor gets put back in ill paint the rest of the car. So would like to source what I need now

you might be able to heat it up, and have it a little flatter. or you could, put a license plate on it?

Bodyshops work miracles on those types of bumper skins all day long.

Rather than a heat gun, which might damage the paint, perhaps try hot (HOT!) water and gentle pressure from the reverse side.

Removing the bumper skin should be easy, but a few of the fasteners may require hacksawing.

The car is going to be repainted anyways as soon as I buy the last half of rubbers around the car and decide on the hood I want(mostly waiting on me deciding on hood) so im not worried about the paint. It's hard to tell from the pictures but there is something up with the bumper itself.... I'll talk to thr body guy after. Still waiting to get a call telling me his guy matched the paint and show me samples.

The actual paint formulas are available in one of the parts manuals, I think.

Mine is a slightly modded oem yellow.. I got it from the previous owner. He told me a guy wanted to paint the car for free if he pays for paint because he wanted to use it for advertising. Next to an oem cym it has a slight difference and shine to it.. he may have used the base cym yellow but added a pearl or candy coat to it.. 2 paint guys have had trouble trying to match it so far. Trying someone my brother knows this week.
