^^ no joke i get the same feeling, whats it called....the tumbler? from the newest batman movie? the super beefy look in the back with them tires screams "i can eat you on the road and on the rooftops" very nicely done, super aggressive stealth style. u must make a lot of the "street racers" around the neighborhood drive away like dogs with their tails between their legs. also, now i want to source and get one of those FEED wings, i usually thought only the 99+ wing looked good on the FD's but u changed my mind.

Have you thought about molding the flares? Also, the car would look even better from behind with some '99 spec tail lights

HAHA "and on the rooftops" that had me laughin good. Im stoked on how aggressive the rear turned out, its exactly as i had planned. Something that when you see rolling around on the streets that says: "you wont like me when im angry" hahahaha. Of course the powerplant is there to back it up and then some.

theres a few members i have seen with the flares blended/molded smooth and i personally do not like that look at all. to each his own of course, but it creates too large of a smooth rounded area for me. The way i have mine, the door lines follow through to the flares when viewed from the side. I was in art/graphic design my whole life in HS and college and that **** is still in my blood. haha. If you could imagine my car with the doors actually on it pictured below, youll see what im saying makes some sense. This pic was from a month ago.

As for the tails, im gonna keep the US specs, i see people all the time with other cars with rattle canned tails with circles all the time mimicking the 99 FD's and lets just say it left a bad taste in my mouth, LOL.

btw. is that a carbon fiber rear hatch? or is it not color matched to the new pant yet?

I agree with you, I like the old-school lights and rotary Mazda emblem. I find the fake Infini and '99 are a bit too "J-spec" to me which is the equivalent of ricer in my book.

Rattlecanned tails? I meant purchase the authentic JDM '99 spec taillights.

The tires are a 35 profile, but they're 315 wide and a drag radial so they have some sidewall to them thats for sure, lol. I thnk the car will sit a little lower once i put some miles on it, the interior is back in, both doors, some fuel, and ETC. Ground clearance is an issue with my long tube headers, i just re-fabbed my 2-1 Y-pipe. I had to modify the tunnel a little bit just to get the exhaust 1" higher than what it was before. Then again, i did a lot of weight reduction to this thing too, ha. I'l see how it sits completed once i put some miles on it and go from there.

I understand and appreciate what you're saying here. If this truely is the case you should mold the section of the flare that does sit under the door (side skirt area). I think it'd look hot. Just my $.02.

I don't know what they could do to the front fenders to look as aggressive as the rear...and blend in. come on, where are the pics?
