mild ported t2 dyno 236 hp 187 tq @ 9psi.

well i finnaly got Dave (Guitarjunkie) to dyno tune my car today.

he got it to run 11 AFR's across the RPM band.

mods are:

freshly rebuilt jspec 13bt.
very mild street port.
full intake, and straight exhaust.
720cc secondaries controlled by safc2.
ported wastegate on stock rebuilt turbo.
running 9psi.
stock Top Mount Intercooler.

236 hp 187 tq @ a conservative 9psi.

turbo spooled too late, otherwise the torque would have looked nicer.

the first pull actually did 240 whp, but afr's weren't safe, so i toned it down from there.

yeah that torque is really low... my buddy had a similar setup (except stock ports) and he put down 250rwhp/280rwtq at I think 14psi

it wasn't hitting full boost until ~4k-4200 rpm.

btw, i think i have an s4 snail at my buddies house. i can port that wastegate and slap that on...we can see what that does to the spoolup.

in any case, it's pretty good numbers for the boost level.

Nice numbers! The port couldn't be too small considering the hp numbers on only 9 psi. Get that wastegate problem fixed and your torque curve will be much nicer...my stock S5 turbo spools almost instantly!

what kind of number do large port jobs generally see? Or, further, what kind of power are 14.0/sec TII's putting down? The car ran 14 even repeatedly on stock boost.

fris, s5 hotside would be fine, but we'd have to find a manifold for it.

Your friend made a ton of torque because his turbo is maxed out at low in the RPM range. If he was running a suitable turbo for his setup, you would see the HP numbers far exceed the torque.

^ exactly.. 240 horse, 280 tq isn't uncommon.. boost curve looks like a big rainbow, and torque usually looks just like an upside down "V" though

this one HELD 9psi with late spoolup all the way to redline.
