Track Virgins no more!

Me and my 10AE are both track virgins. I've been trying to go to the track for a while with my previous cars but they always get stolen before thye make it there(Hondas) Anyways. I only got 3 runs in. Here are my times:

1ST RUN- I bogged it off the line and had to wait my boost to kick in. was running 38PSI in my tires by accident.
RT: 1.262
60': 2.341
330: 6.294
1/8: 9.455
MPH: 78.52
1000: 12.156
1/4: 14.434
MPH:

2ND RUN- Dropped my tire pressure to 25psi and wheel hopped like crazy
RT: 1.128
60': 2.170
330: 5.986
1/8: 9.108
MPH: 79.26
1000: 11.784
1/4: 14.041
MPH: 100.13

My 3rd run I miss shifted 2 gears so i just rode my brakes down the track. But my reation time got better and so did my 6'. I was spinning alot tho. People said the track was really glazed(wet) and the STI was running 14.2 and the EVO ran a 15something, lol. I was running 8-9psi of boost. I just got my SAFC2 in the mail today so hopefully that will be tuned before the next time I go. If you guys could gimme tips that would be great

Times are about right, your 2.1 60 ft is about all you can expect from street tires and a novice driver. I've been drag racing for about 10 years and the best 60 foot I ever got on street tires was a 1.8. There are some schools of thought that lowering your tire pressure will increase your 60 foot, but it also increases rolling resistance.

Get that wheel spin under control, and you should be able to dip into the 13s. were you lifting to shift?

Yes, I was lifting the gas to shift. I know its faster to just shift without lifting off the gas, but will that damage my tranny?

Your wheel hop could be due to a lot of slop in the bushings. I would reccomend buying some urethane bushings, as well as harder diff mounts. That might help you take care of a lot of it. The wheelhop was so bad on my GTUs that I broke halfshafts. Using the bushings to stiffen things up, and tighten up clearances made a big improvement.

I went back to the track Wed. and did a 13.9. Going back today to see if I can improve it.

I'm also thinking of doing a ES bushing kit. the one thats like $100 and looks like ever bushing in the car is included.
