That will work fine, but your tire needs to be a 225-45 not 40. Those will fit though, yup!

I want to fit a 10.5 +30 with a 235 or 245 tire, it'll be 5mm more in torward the wheel well. Do you think that would fit?

I recently stumbled upon that reference for finding stock wheel/lug/bolt sizes and specs, if you want to go find more rims from a stock car or to referene from when someone is selling their aftermarket rims from a different car

I would rather drop down to a 255/40/17 for a 17" x 9" rim.
This doesn't induce a huge stagger as a 225 / 275 set--up; with such a huge stagger, you might run into heavy understeering issues.

Urm i have confused myself i think?
Am i correct in saying that Front: 8x17 Offset +45 and Rear: 9x17 Offset +40 wont fit?
I have been offered some rims in thoses sizes, i have Coil overs fitted if that makes any diffrence and its a Convertable.

The fronts won't.
I really think this thread should be cleaned up and maybe a sticky of some sort that shows pictures of different setups on fc's and what the most popular combinations are. I think that would help a ton rather than searching through 48 pages
CRAP!
I just put some 225/50 16's on my FC with 16X7 wheels, 40mm backspacing, and I could smell hot rubber all the way home. Fortunately, the rubbing was minor, but I'll have to put spacers and longer studs in before I drive it again. The setup looks totally hot though.

I run GAB Sport rims that are 16" x 7", +35 with Bridgestone S03 Pole Positions with no rubbing and no spacer.

I've also run Toyo RA-1's in 225/50/16 on stock S5 Kouki rims 16" x 7" +40 with no rubbing or spacers.

Need Advice, Always driven on the OEM 15" wheels
I'll finally be adding 17x7 wheels to my 89 GTU and will refinish the OEM wheels for show and when I want to get back to stock. I got a great price on 4 Dunlop SP Sport A2s from Tire Rack in 215/45x17 size and will be putting them on tomorrow. Anyone see a problem with this fitment? What spacers should I have, if any on this aftermarket wheels?

I just got my new studs in from Summit, and I'll be back on the road tomorrow.
