16x7 +40 is the STOCK TII size, so yes, it'll fit, but the +35's will give a bit more clearance for wider tires.

For anyone interested in my wheel follow up i ended up getting them today. Konig's counter steers 17x7 +40. Look really good in person.
Can i run 215's on them fine?

look just like VOLKs. 215/45/17 will be a good fit, wider then stock but same height.

Yeah thats one of the main reasons I got them, look just like volk te37's.
I would run bigger like 225's but i found a killer deal on the 215's thats too good to pass up.

They will fit fine, but you will need a fairly large spacer to make them sit flush.

spacers and modified fenders in the front, spacers in the rear.

Just checking, what's the lug pattern and pitch of those wheels?

i was wondering if i could do 225/45/17 front on a 17x7 +30 and a 245/40/17 rear on a 17x8 +35....i was also planning on lowering the car 1 inch from stock would this fit well? and is there a chance of rubbing?

That will all fit fine, but the rears will be sunk. You could run the rear size in the front an a 17x9 in the back. 225/45 will fit a 17x8 +35 just fyi.

You're going to need a spacer and a fender pull for the front.

How would 17X9.5 fit with a +30 offset. Would it look better in 17 or 18 (kitted and slammed)

It would it in back, not up front without a spacer, super stretched tire, and rolled fenders.

225 is too wide for 7 in... I would say for good looks do 205/45

Mine are 215s on my 7 in wide 0 offset wheels and they stick out a little on the side walls. My wheels are 215/65/14
