you're not going to get a 'stretch' on a 7" wheel anyway, so no point in running a smaller tire for looks.

225/45 on a 7 should be just fine.

IMHO, 225 on a 7 is too wide, at least on my bridgestones, they tend to bubble out on the sidewalls. 205 on a 16 x 7 is better for performance reasons.

Sounds like it would be pretty good imo. 205/50/16 f and probably a 225/50/16 would look pretty good.

Well, here's mine... they are 215 65 14

They are maybe .5 in wider than the rim if you are looking from the top.

The fronts may or may not need a very slight roll, but the rear shouldn't need anything. I'm running RPF1's in a 17x9+35 with ample room on a 255/40R17(stock camber) , even with the extra half inch larger rim size the tire will roughly sit in the same spot unless you are running a spacer. Are you running a spacer in the rear?

Thats true. I rolled the fenders because I was getting it repaint anyways and I may end up going with 245s up front and 275s in back with my next set of tires.

No spacers.

Yeah, that should work.

I have managed to fit 255 up front and 275 rear on my 17x8.5 +30 and 17x9.5 +40 fitment with stock fenders with lip rolled under.

I'm having a hard time trying to get a pair of wheels for the back of my car. I'm wanting CE28's that are 17x9.5 +40 but as of now, it's looking to be around $1450 shipped. I've been looking on Yahoo auctions for 1/2 a year now for the perfect match to come up, but nothing ever does.

So, just yesterday a set of 17x10 +45 came up. I know that +45 won't work, but do you think I could manage a +40 using a 5mm spacer? I don't want to use more than a 5mm spacer in the back due to the length of the studs. I'll run 255/40 in the back for now, and 275/40 down the road. I'm thinking that I would at least have to go 35+ to make things fit. I don't like aggressive camber or sticking out wheels. I'd personally like to have it tucked in as much as possible without running issues on the arms.

Yes, but buying longer studs also requires me to press the hubs out/in an press the studs out/in. I'm also just trying to stay away from spacers and get a wheel that actually fits.

He also has 17x9.5, which is what I've been wanting to get for the last half year. However, I as well as most of the people on here don't agree upon spending $1400 on a pair of wheels. That is why I am asking if I can compromise on a used set of 17x10 +45 (using a 5 mm spacer so +40) with a 275/40 tire.

And If it does come down to it, I CAN put my front studs on the back so they are like a half inch longer, but I want to avoid that. I know lots of people run 17x10 +35 but I haven't really seen too many pictures of that kind of setup, or at least good pictures of it. Anyone want to pitch in? I hate wheels/tires that stick out past the fenders and if possible, that is why I want a +40. Its not too much of a difference, but it helps keep things tucked in. Maybe I'm just asking for too much? If anything, I can just keep waiting for the wheels to come up on auction. I'd really much rather stick to 17x9.5 than get a 10, its just extra weight that I don't really need. I'll never want wider than 275 so.

I think a 10" wide wheel is going hit with a 40mm offset. With my 17x9.5 38mm offset wheel I can barely get my finger in between the trailing arm and the wheel, and you will be 8mm closer. A 35mm offset would be better.
