I'm wheel offset/tire sizing stupid. I've downloaded the spreadsheet, and still don't know what I'm doing.
So I just picked up some 17x9 +35 front wheels and 17x9.5 +25 rear wheels for my FD.
I was thinking of running 245/40/17 on the front and 255/40/17 on the rear, Dunlop Star Spec's. Would this be a good tire set up?

You could run 235s up front but thats scretching the tire a bit for a 9 inch wheel. But definitely can be done.
What will this wheel/tire setup be used for?

The car will be track driven, but will also see street driving. Still running stock suspension, but will eventually get some coil overs.
Are you saying it would rub on the inside or the outside? Would a fender lip roll help with that?

I think we have a bent rim, so I want to throw some known-good wheels on and see if the ride changes.
Problem is, the only other wheels we have are on a Mercury -- P225/60/r16
The lug pattern seems to be the same, not so sure if the fitment of the tires will work.
The spreadsheet doesn't list this particular size.
Any help would be appreciated, just need to drive it a few miles to know if the bent wheel is the culprit.
Thanks

255/40-17 *Specs on +25 offset in back with stock fenders isn't going to fit it without rolling and negative camber. Consider that the outer lip of a 9.5" +25 sits 44mm, 1.75" further outboard than the stock 8" +50 offset. That's a LOT! Lowish offsets are not conducive to fitting wide tires.
Your best bet might be 235/40-17 fronts and 245/40-17 rears and running a fair amount of negative camber.
Go to willtheyfit.com for graphic illustration of where a 255/40-17 on 17x9.5 +25 sits relative to a stock 225/50-16 on 16x8 +50.

I've run 215's on my 9's for that last two years without a problem. Not hard to mount either I do it at school all the time.

I don't know what I'm doing here. I read every post and tried clicking on the links. I don't see any calculator where I can plug in my numbers. This is what I have:
255-40-18 and 285-35-18 Michellin Pilot Sport.
I'm looking at a set of wheels that are 18x9 +35 and 18x10 +38.
Also looking at Megan coilovers and right now my fenders are stock.
Will it work with stock trailing arms and what will be required?
I'm sorry I have to ask, I know stupid noob.

Since the spreadsheet isn't working on my phone, can someone assist me with this, I'm looking at 18x9.5+12 up front and 18x10.5+15 in the rear, would they fit with just a roll or would I need a pull as well. And what size tire would I need to run with them to fit.

I am looking at some Megan coilovers but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I would prefer not rolling fenders or trimming. I like the flushed out look but want some rubber on the road too. Help!
This is what I just got:
Brand New set (4) Axis Halo Staggered Matte Black/Red Stripe
Front
* 18x8.5
* Et: 45
* 5x114.3
* Center: 73.1
Rear
* 18x9.5
* Et:40
* 5x114.3
* Center: 73.1
Now I'm on the hunt for tires and this is what I'm thinking
F-245-35-18 and R-275-35-18

^I'd stay away from Megan, they're a knockoff made in china brand. Look into the Apex'i EVX, good street coilovers for the price. PM me if interested, I can source you a set.
Those wheel sizes and offsets look ok. You'll have a hard time finding that size front tire, it's pretty rare. Really I'd recommend a 235/40 up front and a 265/35 in the back. Enough tire for a modified FD and they'll fit better on the wheels too.
You'll have to pick up some adapter rings to make the wheels hubcentric, from 73.1mm to 67.1mm.

Thanks, I just bought the rings for $7. I'm looking at Hankook Ventus V12 Evo, they make just about every size and carry a free road hazard warranty. Do you think 245-35 and 285-30 will fit with rolling the fenders? The overall diameter is the same front and back and very very slightly smaller than stock. I sent you an email regarding the coilovers.

I have a 93' FD. Been looking at some wheels but cant seem to figure out which will work. Its been lowered on Tein S-Techs. But here are the specs for the wheels:
Front: 17x7 +35mm
Rear: 17x9.75 +25mm
My question is what will it take to get these wheels to fit or will they fit at all?
