Will this fit (specifically worried about front outer fender)?
18x9.5" 44et on all 4 corners with 285/35/18 on GC coilovers with 550/450 springs.
According to the excel spreadsheet for FD sizing it will interfere 0.41" into the front fender. Not 100% sure what the assume camber is on that spreadsheet. Perhaps the clearance could be dialed in with negative camber (I run -2.5 to -3 degrees). Anyone with similar setup car to comment?

Quick question:
When I used the calculator to verify if 18 x 8.5 +25 front
and 18x 9.5 +25 rear would fit it tells me like -.25 clearance. This is without rolling fenders. So if fender inside lip is rolled these would fit? Or maybe someone is using these sizes?

Best tires to get
I have a 1980 with current tires of 185/70/13. What are the best tires to get for this car. Not for racing but want good handling, especially in rain.

hey all, i tried running the program but it didnt work on my computer, damn vista
anyways since im completely wheel/tires retarded i thought i could get some help with this
i want t buy some enei rpf1's for my fd
i was thinking about getting them 17x9 in the front and 17x10 in the rear
what i need help with is, what offset do i get them so it fits flush with no issues and what tires should i get that wont rub and will keep the diameter close to stock so my spedo wont be way off
just to add i dont really have a problem rolling the fenders, and i would pull the fenders if i absolutely had too

well thanks for the info, but that still doesnt really help me since i still dont no what to do with that info

Hi, Im going to be buying some aftermarket rims and tires for my FD, and my question is... Will a 245/40/17 tire fit for the fronts and rears fit without rubbing, or having to roll the fenders?
BTW my car has the Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks, and eibach 1'' lowering springs. The rims I want, would be a 17X9'' with a +24 offset. Any help would be appreciated.

The +24 offset is the problem. If you don't want to rub stick to +45 on a 17 x 9 rim. If you want to risk it, its your money.
Remember 25mm = 1 inch
+24 = 24mm = almost 1 inch
+45 = 45mm = almost 2 inches or about 1.75"
+50 = 50mm = 2 inches = the stock FD offset

I knew that 24 offset would be a problem... I'll check out some other rims, but just wondering, what kind of body modifications are we talking about to get the 24 offset to fit? would it just be rolling the fenders, or would the rim also hit the shocks, calipers, inner fender lining, and require more extensive body modifications?

Think about it a bit. A +24 offset means they stick outward another inch. So it shouldn't be rubbing on suspension components right? It will be rubbing on the fender.
I occasionally rub with a 17x9 +45 on 255/40/17 and rolled fenders. With a +24 offset rim, the tires and rims would be sticking out beyond the fender's sheet metal.

Im looking for a quality aftermarket black rim with a large outer polished/chrome lip. The size I want is 17X7.5-17X9

You want at least an 8" wide front rim. The stockers are 16" x 8". Don't downgrade. You can also search on posts from Goodfella on rim sizes that work if you can't figure it out in the spreadsheet.
Tire Rack list some good fitting options. Alternatively contact AUTORND here on the forum. He can hook you up with rims that fit properly at a fair price (and deliver good service).

Ya you're right, downgrading to 7.5'' rim is a bad idea. I actually have been researching all day long ( it's my day off ) , and have found some different wheels with the exact same look I want. They're 17X8.5'' 19.5 lbs each, black with a larger outer chrome lip, built from cast Iron, and the price is reasonable.
They have several different offsets... would a 245/40/17'' tire with an offset of +40 and 8.5'' rims work without body modifications?
They also have +45 and +48 offsets which are better, but just wondering worst case scenario they arn't in stock, if the +40 would work

in this case the style seems to be more important that maximum width or wheel weight. This should be a pretty easy setup to find on the net based on some criteria of course.

if you go taller than stock, then you should go wider than stock. That's my thumb. lol. so at least 8.5" wide.

I personally don't know. Rishie does this all day long though so he is a great person to work with.
Here is info on fitment from Goodfella. His setup looks great running a 17x8.5 +44 with 245s.

The rims I'm thinking about getting in 17X8.5'' (x4) are Rota D2's. I think 19.5 lbs per wheel is much better then the Motegi Touge at 23.5 lbs per rim
