Ive gone through most the post and i see a kinda yes and no answer for what i need so i am just going to ask. I ordered wheels from a vendor online 18x9.5 +30 all around and called my local wheel shop i was planning on doing 255,35,18 all around but he is telling me for 9.5 a 255 going to be a extreme stretch and that 255 are too big for fronts and too small for 9.5!

so my question is will 255,35,18 or 265,35,18 work all around with 18x9.5 +30 especially in the front?
i know fender rolling might have to happen but besides that will i need any other mods?

Hmmm, that's pretty low offset...

255/35-18 tires fit on 8.5" - 10" wheels. I.e., not a stretch on 9.5", certainly not an "extreme stretch".

That said, 275/35-18 would fit easily on those wheels, except for your low offsets...

You are likely to have problems getting 255s on +30 wheels to work up front... Rolled fenders are generally required to run 255s even with 10mm greater offset (255s rubbed and bent the front fender lip out over a small area running on my car with +40s).

You got the wrong offset wheels, IMO. If you're stuck with them, you might try 245/35-18 in front. 9.5" is the max wheel width for that size, but still within the recommended range, so technically not a "stretch"... Smaller width and smaller diameter should help minimize clearance issues. In back, I think you should be OK with 255s with rolled fenders.

But I don't see the point of wide wheels if the offset forces you to run narrow tires!

I ended up having my cousin put them on at sears, the offset and width were not a problem at all for a 245/40/18 all around just a little rub from pot holes and big dips.
So i found a guy from VA Beach/ Richmond who has rolled rx7 fenders before and he was able to fix that for me.

Haven't shopped around for wheels too much, so I'm curious on how these will fit. Looking at some XXR 962's and I have a '93 R1.

Front: 18 x 8.5 35+ offset
Rear: 18 x 9.5 35+ offset

Will these fit alright? More curious about the offset. Thanks!

Im thinking of mounting some new wheels and what wondering what size tires would be best on a stock bodied FD without any rubbing.

18x9.5 +44 in the front
18x10 +42 in the rear, I could change this to a 18x9.5 +32 if better.

255/35-18 should fit up front, 245/35-18 for sure.
I'd go with the +42 offset rears, 275/35-18 should fit, maybe 285.

FWIW, I tweaked a part of the front fender lip with 255s on +40 up front, had plenty of clearance to rolled rear fenders with 265 on +40 and with 275 on +45.

What is the highest offset I can run with a stoptech big brake kit in the front? I do not really want to run a spacer but will if I absolutely have too

Depends entirely on the wheel. 17x8.5 +40 TE37 and PF01 fit with miles of clearance.

18x10.5 et 30 w/ 275/35 rear

Will this work with a nice fender roll?

What exactly are you trying to do? First you ask for highest offsets you can run, now are you asking about some pretty aggressive sizes. First off, 285/35 is a bit tall for the rear, especially when running a more aggressive offset. a 18x10.5+20 is not going to fit. Im running an 18x10.5 +35 with a 275 and it requires a pretty hefty roll and its still damn tight. Also your fronts arent going to really fit well. For a 18x9.5 with a 265/35 Id run as close as you can get to a +45 offset. I ran that exact same combo with no issues.

*Disclaimer*- Im advising sizes with minimal mods needed, assuming ~25" ride height and the car to be driven aggressively and want good clearance. There are alot of people running aggressive sizing, but require some camber, slightly smaller tires, fender pull, etc.

I guess I should've explained myself a little better. The first questions about the high offset was for a track setup.
For daily driving I want an aggressive good setup, preferably something with a decent sized lip (as in decent I mean like 2")

I am currently lowered a touch but want to go lower. I do not want to run any extreme camber or stretched tires. So maybe a 9.5 all around? Sorry for the questions but I am new to the FD and just trying to get a good grasp on acceptable sizes for it.

I got 235/45 R17 up front on standard arches. They are fine but can rub when going over big bumps. Mainly because of offset approx +33 - 35. They wouldn't rub at all if the tyres were 225 or offset was around +38 or more on the 235 tyre.

They're on CE28n wheels which are the dogs. Had some 18 inch P1 wheels ET +30 before these which were a disaster.

Hi Guys, need some help too.

I need to know if the below will fit my stock body FD (rolled fenders and Ohlins Coilovers)

18'' diameter 9.5'' in width and 40 offset for both the front and the rear. These will be fitted with 235/640/18 Dunlop Slicks Front and 265/660/18 Dunlop Slicks at the Rear.
