Any idea on a recommended turbo?

By any chance do you have a picture of the 3" SS downpipe and would you be willing to sell one seperately? For how much?

Thanks!

I think if the goal is to just make a bit more power the greddy kit is hard to beat. I will be turbocharging a couple renesis motors over the winter but those are open cockpit racecars. I would say your best bet if you insist on maing your own would be start smaller GT28 or 28RS and work from there.

Difference in peak power T3 vs T4 and is it a noticable difference in transient response or not?

We've seen roughly 10-20hp more depending on the setup, the transient response is noticably better, with the T4 1.0 over the T3 1.06.

What does the typical downpipe that comes with the FC kit connect to? The stock final cat?

I've got the racing beat 3" exhaust and would likely want to use the rest of it (minus the downpipe). Can you accomodate? Would you need the car to fab the pipe? What would the extra cost be?

Sorry for the delay in response we are currently swamped with stuff going on here. The DP goes back to under the car about where the RB silencer connects, I leave it open since just about every FC We've sold or installed kits on has either the wrong motor, ie REW or REW in a vert or TII in a vert or..... Hope that helps.

Would 1300 secondaries and a walbro fuel pump be safe enough to run 13 psi max on the gt35r with a streetported engine with 91 octane?

Yes., it could work but dual walbros would be a better idea, i would reccmend wiring the walbro(s) with a seperate relay and bypass the old stock wiring. Also an Adj Fuel Pressure regualator and a new fuel filter are a must .

good luck

Hey Gene, I'm glad you're also thinking about going GT35R! I will next year, and what I'm going to run is 1300 secondaries, 850 primaries, a apex gtr pump, and maybe a boostapump. I remember Rich ran his 1300 secondaries and gtr pump safely on his BNR stage 3's putting down 400+ RWHP. So, the gtr pump and 1300 secondaries should be fine for 13psi on the GT35Rs

whould this kit or the 500R kit be better for a car that is being aimed twoard road racing/time attack and passes through the mountain? i am not into the whole drag thing anymore but may do a little if i get stopped at the right redlight. so what do you think would be the best route for me to go ?

either kit will work well as they both spoolup quite fast. the 35R will spoolup faster but the 500R will flow more at higher boost

you cant go wrong with either kit!

good luck

380-410 would be my guess you're talking T3 also you will be fuel limited as well. Some cars put out good numbers some cars put out ok numbers it is really hard to guess.

Just for referance I just had my stock port with gt35r tuned made 378 at 15lbs. Had to stop tuning my OMP lines got caught in the pulleys and wripped the wires. Was still a little rich up top he told me so could have pulled a little more out of it.

Thumbs up

I was there with Chris and Steve to have my FD tuned as well.

Chris' car was a monster on the dyno. His turbo spooled at least as quickly as my stock primary, and Chris' car had a lot more power and a very torque curve.

Thanks again Chris for helping with my air temp sensor woes.

With their rotary knowledge and expertise, I would like to add that Chris and Steve are both cool people and represent the best of RX7club.com members.

See you at the next tune...

Josh
