I'll be driving it into work as soon as the weather gets better. I'm thinking about putting it in the car show in Cove on Saturday as long as it's looking like the rain will hold off.

I think I will check out the car show in cove since its 11am-1pm registration. Maybe we can scrape up an RX7/RX8 contingent? Give me a call or just find me( PM me for my number or ask FJDRX7). I will try to make it at 11am to see who is there and if its worth entering the show.

I might head over to the show, but would barely make it in time for registration... I'm trying to get some stuff done around the house and am hedging my bets against the weather. My car isn't in any show condition right now, but if it doesn't rain it might be fun to throw it in the mix just to see what happens... kind of like taking an APFT with a hangover.

With paint peeling off.... it would be like the APFT with a torn tendon and one leg. Oh well, might as well try it haha.

I figure our competition will at best be some neons/ civics with a body kit for the sport compact class. Its for sure worth a shot. My car isn't in the best shape either, it has plenty of little paint chips and stuff but I would just like to see some RX's out there.

No trophies for us, BMW guys pretty much took over the "sport compact" class. Here's some pics of the cars representing the rotaries. (I didn't bother taking pics of other cars because I don't really car about them).

I figured for under a hundred bucks for parts I couldn't go wrong. Everything else in the transmission looks great and works good.

I adjusted the TPS tonight and the car runs a whole lot better. No more CEL and doesn't hesitate when I rev it any more! I might look in to the cold start system next since it still has a little bit of a crappy idle when warming up.

It was over in copperas cove. There's a couple more coming up.

There's a Springfest Car Show in Killeen on 22 May at the Civic Center, but I can't find any more information on it.

I was stationed in Fort Hood, I never paid attention on a RX7 Club in that area that sounds pretty cool. I live in Houston now.

Yeah... and it doesn't look like I'll make it to the memorial day show... I'm jumping on a plane to NTC this week as well. It sucks that all the car shows in this area are all crammed into the first couple months and there's nothing else until the fall. Blame it on the sun maybe?

Any thoughts on this car? ( http://killeen.craigslist.org/pts/1755551213.html ) Its an 89 TII. I figured it would be a good parts car if anyone needed TII parts. It has eibach coilovers and some Mille miglia EVO 5 18" wheels on it. No engine but tranny back is still there. I wouldn't mind holding on to it if there is a little interest in some of the parts. I want the window motors out of it but $600 is a steep price for window motors. Making a decision over lunch tomorrow (26 May 1230).
