why not push more boost?

why not push more boost?

im seeing all these single turbo rx7's dynoing 400, 450 rwhp ect.. at 15 psi and dont see many people going over that. what is stopping people from pushing more boost? just wondering

Because thats usually about the limit of pump gas. Sure you can get more with race gas, but filling up with race gas all the time is impractical on most accounts....

FEAR I plan on Dynoing at 15, 20, and 25 psi Saturday on a PT67. Everything has to be done just right, tuning, mechanical set-up, etc, or BOOM...

yea i'm curious what the 67 will put down as well, mines finally nearing completion. not sure how much boost i'm gonna run yet tho.....

Carl that 67-1 wheel is a low pressure wheel....it'll love 18-22psi. I think thats the sweet spot. You should make some good power in that range!!!

I've been interested in that wheel for a long time, I'd like to see what you end up with

I've never dyno'd it above 15psi, but I run 19 on the street. My fuel cut is set at 20psi. Those extra 4psi DO make a difference
