what to use as lower injector seal/grommet?
as stated.... i am about to install my id1000 and when i removed my old injectors i noticed that my injector diffusers where a mess....broken and all!
so i removed em, but now i need to build up the space they took so that i will have a tight fit for my id1000's. i will not install new diffusers.
how would you do it?
use like 3 rubber grommets?
make an aluminum spacer with 1 grommet on each side?
just cut a piece of silicone hose (like 2mm to long and let the injector squeeze it)
is there a min/max preassure the injector can accept?
i used silicon hose as grommets on my stock injectors after a vacuum leak and it worked great but now they will be 3 times longer so dont know if it would work?
the car is a s4 t-2

Your ID injectors should have come with cups that the injector rests in, find and use those.

Just for info , you can alao do as I did , just cut off the lower part of the stock primary rail ! about and inch from the end , it fits perfectly in the centre iron and the injectors fit perfectly into it and its free.

I can't picture what you're sayin here
Say what? And use it as a spacer in the injector hole after the diffuser has been removed?
do you have a pic for this?

The lower cup is universal for 13B's, so it will work regardless of FC/FD. The top hats will differ, however, depending on fuel rail height.

That sounds kinda ghetto, why hack up the primary rail just to save spending $15 on a part that is also designed for its purpose and won't need additional spacers?? I can see doing it if you're unable to get the cup designed for the new style injectors, but just to save a buck...?
