which turbo for 300-320whp?

i have a brand new rebuilt motor with huge streetport...

i'll be getting a front mount, microtech, and bigger injectors....

i was thinking about getting an s5 manifold and turbo, possibly a hybrid s5 turbo?

i dont want to run 15psi to make that power, but more like 10-12....

anyone have any suggestions??

thanks,Dan

in order of potential

60-1 (to4B 60-1)(HKS to4S) 370~420 ish depends upon tuning
TO4E 60 trim 300~ 350 ish " "
" " 57 trim 250~280 ish" "

anything smaller and you will have to up the boost a lot, and end up heating the charge to much.

there are many who have made more with the same turbines, but it really depends upon tuning alot.

look for a"P" trim exhaust housing in the .84~1.05 range smaller = faster spool, larger equals slightly higher top end HP

these are all generalizations, do a search for each of the turbines, and you will get loads of data.

TO4E / TO4S would do the power you require.

Just dyno'ed my S4 stock port, E6X, 720/1680's, 3" exhuast (w/3"cat) with To4E "57"wheel @10psi got 283 and 288 RWHP. gonna lose the cat and a couple other mods so i can turn up the boost safely to 12-14psi looking to get 325-350 RWHP daily driver tune on pump gas . If I was going to buy a new turbo I would go with a 60-1 minimum.

this was customers car. no dowels but did have stage 2 porting. It wasnt even the infamous 60-1 wheel, just a standard V trim to4b compressor.

check out my post on 400hp high flow thread. these some cool pics there of my new turbo to4b/hitachi hybrid
