sorry to bring back a dead thread a year later, but yes that dog was unfazed the whole time. The owner raised him around cars as a pup. There were times we were doing pulls and he was falling asleep!!

the Garrett T04E 57 trim sounds like it's what i'm looking for. but has technology advanced around this turbo to make it obsolete? when i see T04.. i think old turbo. mid 300's is where i want to be and midrange is what i'm after.

considering its been out for more then a decade or two, it is getting old.

if mid 300s and midrange is your goal, IMO, you can't go wrong with the TO4E. They seem to be in their sweet spot at that range. I'm actually contemplating going down from the 60trim with a 1.0 A/R to the 57trim with a .84 A/R as I'd like a bit more response on my favorite twisty roads.

Only time I ever dynoed my car was with 60 trim to4e .96 on center rear.

305 whp Dynojet. 18,19 psi

Number was low because rear rotor had a blown apex...

Probably would have seen 400 on a good motor

I ran 119.5mph 1/4mile terminals on a T04E 57trim running 23psi boost in my FC. Not sure what power you want to guess that to be.

The 60 trim however you'll be on the edge, it can do 400 RWHP. Don't expect more from it though. 300~370 is a nice range for the 60 trim T04E. The 60-1 and 62-1 are more suited to the 400hp and are NOT 500 RWHP turbo's. Their usualble range would be 300~430 on a 13B.

Nothing wrong with a T04E 60 trim though, just spec it correctly.
*T04E 60 trim Compressor wheel
*T04S compressor housiong (4" inlet, 2.5" disscharge .7 A/R)
*360 degree thrust or the full ball bearing option.
*water cooled (wet) CHRA for longevity
*P-trim turbine wheel
*1.00 A/R or for quicker spool up .84 divided turbine housings on a divided manifold
OR if using a collected manifold (not running a divided you see slower spool up AND slightly less peak power) .96 or .81 open valute turbine housings.

DO NOT CONFUSE A/R WITH TRIM LEVELS!!! EX: .6 A/R stamped on the turbo compressors housing is the A/R (Area/ Radious) of the housing and IS NOT THE COMPRESSOR TRIM. Virtually any trim can be placed into any A/R housing. If you don't understand these terminologies, do more reading.

My devided 57trim/Ptrim. 84 to4e spooled So fast with a devided mani and a large street port!!! It was an excellent recommendation from turblown... I ran it on an Rtek 2.1 with 720 cc primaries 1200cc secondaries with an Fd uim no emissions and 3.5" down pipe... 376 to the wheels and the running requirements were minimal
