Td06,to4e,to4s ??????
Hello all, I am currently looking for a single turbo set-up and I need some advice. I am running non-seq right now and a **** load of mods to back it up. I want to go single and I am not looking for a **** load of HP I would like basically the same amount maybe a little more but I want a turbo that will last and be a strong unit and wont have any problems like the stockers. I was looking at a few kits from the RX7 STORE like the 3 mentioned above but not sure I know Wargasm has the TO4S and he loves it but his goals are way to high for me right now I would like 360-380 RWHP safely. I will be doing the install and it does not look hard at all If i can swap a motor I can do a turbo conversion. one of the concerns is do the kits actually come with everything you need or there are pcs. and stuff that you need like resistors for the factory solenoids and such. so any advice would be greatly appreciated

You've got the PFC right? Then you can just disconnect the solenoids and leave them hanging....seriously.
Either way, a good friend of mine had the TD-06/25G kit on his FD. He said that he'd push the gas down and there it was...boost. Reacted just like the stock twins when it came to boost, but didn't have the problems like the twins did. Good for approximately 350+ hp or so(that was estimated) @ 1.0 kilos boost. Not sure what it REALLY was, but we were being conservative.
Hope this helps dude!

I have the T04E and I made 372rwhp on stock ports.
with if I turned up the boost to 18 im sure I could have pushed over 400 on the stock ports.
my car has about 7 psi at 3000 and full boost at 3700 -3800.
you might think about getting a GT30BB it will spoll alot faster and has enough flow for around 500hp

KDR installed the XS T04e kit on my car. He said it was the easiest single turbo install he had done. He dynoed another car with about the same mods as mine with the T04e and he said the dyno curve went straight up. Very nice low end streetable power curve. That's why I choose it over the T04s kit. I know nothing about the TD-06/25G kit.

Said that the car felt like it had a turbo charger on it since it boosted up so quickly.

Dont get the Td06 Kit. If you ever plan on upgrading the turbo system then you will have to get a new kit. Go with one of the T04 style turbos so you can play more with exhaust and compressor housing options and tune the turbo to your likings

I agree with Greg. Get a T04E. If you want quick spool up then choose a smaller turbine housing (.84). You can also go with a .6 or a .7 compressor housing depending on how much top end you are looking for. This turbo is very easy to customize to your liking. I recomend a T04E with .84 turbine and .6 comp. This should be a good start. It will spool up quicker than your non seq turbos and you will have a more reliable setup.

Most of the stock port guys over here use an HKS T04E setup with a 57 trim compressor blade/AR .60 compressor mated to an O trim ex blade inside of an AR.84 housing. This a good setup on stock ports and max boost is usually about 1.2bar. The only TD06 worth using on a roto-motor is the T67-25G. Boost comes on fast and hard! The best thing about T4 flanged turbines is you can easily upgrade to just about anything... T04S/R, T51, T61, T66...blah blah blah.. and don't forget about the T78/88 using the same ex flange as T4's.
