Why didn't the other one fit? HKS makes both cast and stainless manifolds with a T4 flange.

Angry doesn't clear

the damn thing doesn't clear the frame... the manifold must be differant for the 93 i had the motor in lastnight and went to bolt up the manifold and turbo and the manifold sticks to far to the left so when you try to put the turbo on... it hits the frame.... the flange fits just fine. but the back housing of the turbo doesn't clear the frame.... sooooo i need one for the 3rd gen

Which one did you get? Does your turbo have a tangential or on center exhaust housing?

I bet you got an on-center turbine housing.&nbsp You need to swap that out for a tangential turbine housing for it to clear properly.

Something similar happened to a friend of mine. That's why I asked about it. He ordered one from South Florida Performance, and they asked him tangential or on-center. He had no idea what they were talking about. So he just said on-center. So he had to buy an on-center housing after he tried to fit everything. That mistake cost him $200, but he now has an interesting looking paperweight.

This picture clearly shows it's an on-center housing.&nbsp You need to swap the turbine housings or get a new turbo exhaust manifold.

I just fabricated one ,and the turbo had to go up where the air pump was and about 4" forward to clear the body of the car . I don't know what type of manifold you got but it definately wo'nt work no matter what type of turbine housing you got!!!!.

Why don't you just add another bend to the manifold? I have seen this done many times and works fine.

Um, buying a new housing is not jerry rigging anything! Actually the tangential housings flow more air anyway! I am going to use them in my kits. Look at getting a divided 1.0 or 1.15 depending on the power you are looking for with this turbo.

If you get a stainless manifold, use SS 321.
