FL max boost levels on my GT42 with methanol INJ and pump gas

Hello my friends i have read several post about this but i did t find anything concrete.

Im going to the dyno this week and i really don't want to push the engine to the hardest limits.

i have a gt42- azrr ported and built motor-6x1000cc injectors and aquamist hsf6 methanol injection.

We are planning not to run race gas for the moments so we are looking to what will be the max out on pump and methanol injection.
We think on 22 max 25 psi but i don't really know if that will be too much.

Ill appreciate the comments help and experiences....

how much methanol can you inject? this will set the limit of your output.

the more meth you use the more you can push the tune.

knock will be the item to watch. if the motor is happy the knock will drop as you get in to boost... generally to 20 or less. raise the boost slowly watching knock. if it starts to go up from it's low and your afr is fine you can adjust timing. it helps greatly to have logged preturbo EGTs...

if you had enough meth the GT4294 should peak at 33 psi. 80 pounds of air per minute or approx 630 rwhp. you'll be needing at least 1800 CC/Min of meth to do it on pump.

one bar or so is 73 pounds or around 550 SAE rwhp.

good luck, and let us know how much meth you are able to deliver to your engine.

Thanks for the help howard your comments are always so well received.

we have a gt4202 with the tial housing. we are planning on running 51%water 49% methanol mix.

We will check the methanol nozzles to see what of the ones included on the kit will cover our needs.

We have a link ecu knock link installed in the rear rotor and we will monitor the knock as well thru the aem ems.

ill let you know how everything goes i should be on the dyno next wednesday.

wow sound awesome man. I wast aware that you can run those boost levels without race gas.

I think i will go for starts with 25 psi and will see what happens then....

Are yu running a gt42 as well?
Let me know your dyno numbers ill appreciate that

Yeah it's 'EASY,' just do what he did... hook up a garden hose worth of water straight into your turbo/motor + the ignition system found on the NASA shuttle and WALA... 700+RWHP on pump gas 35psi no problem

Sarcasim aside, it's great to hear she's still running like a top rx72c

Love the set-up, if/when I'm to build a hi-boost set-up on pump it would mirror your set-up in that I'ma run a lot of water(only) with a kick-*** ignition to fire it.
