gtx2867r bb turbo

it can flow 45ish lb/min with the 67mm wheel. dual ball bearing... ect but its got a .60 hotside.
what im looking for is response at the top of the list along with about 350hp out of a 1/2 bridge 6 port, but is this too small ? Id think that it would be perfect but I havent sized a turbo for a 13b or any rotaries yet so what do you guys think? go bigger?

Bridgeport engines do not have great response on small and medium frame turbos...

You would be better off a with a 1.15 T4 P trim 57 trim To4E with 4" exhaust, and open dump waste-gates..

GT28/GTX28 doesn't belong on any rotary unless its a single rotor..

the exhaust side will be pretty restrictive for what you're trying to do. you may be disappointed with the numbers.

thats kinda what I thought, well atleast that the hotside was too small, but really its too small for a bp @ 350hp ish? If it helps I don't plan on reving her past 7500. I like the t04E but its too laggy for what im lookin for. Id like to see full boost by 2700-3000 tops lower would be nice. I plan on going itb and the whole 9yards, but Im not looking to make more then 400 really 350-360 is as high as Id like. hell id be happy with 320. atleast on this car. a to4e can make what like 500-550? how about a 16g?

To4E is generally at full boost by less than 3000rpms... And a 57 trim won't make over 420rwhp...

why are you going for such a crazy setup and not want any higher than 350hp?

all those mods you listed dont do anything for low end response which is what youre looking for

With a looser AR (like 1.0 as is stock S5 TII) I think this turbo would be great for a TII that had to keep to a class maximum of 300rwhp and Garret sponsorship (or some weird reason not to use stock based turbo).

Reminds me of an episode of Hot Version Touge Max Showdown where a TII was in the 300rwhp class. It had the fastest section time by far but the tuner had to admit it had more than 300rwhp and it was DQ.

Afterall, how do you have less than 300rwp on a modded TII? Keep the stock turbo or a small compressor wheel only upgrade on the stock turbo- which is alot easier and cheaper than at GT28 turbo.

Anyways sounds like the original poster needs to find the right engine for his goals first (a stock port TII would be a good place to start) and then find the right turbo.

well I plan on a big t88 in the summer, but now its my dd for a little, and its a na car now.
but I want a response king for now and a bit of power.
heres kinda what I was thinking:
itb and motec
air to water cooler (very short piping)
a self made mani both intake and exhaust
meth injection pre turbo
ect
I disagree that itbs dont help with response just look at the rb26dett. it was known as the response king.

Why don't you just go with a gt40 or a bw s366 now. They'll have better response with your bp than that small turbo, make the same power as the old school t88 that you want to put in your car later for some reason, and the bw is half the price of that gtx28.

that doesnt sound half bad but what could I expect out of a gt40 reponse wise, because I cant stand lag but a 20b is to rich for my blood lol. or else Id stay na with a 20b.

Keep looking at dyno charts especially turbo bridge 6 port ones if you can find them.

A turbo bridge port does make boost early (or exhaust pressure in the intake?), but look at the dyno charts there is no low end power.

This is because the low rpm inefficiencies of a bridgeport. If you choke it with a small turbo those inefficiencies get worse and you will not gain any low end power.

because I cant stand lag

I say turbo bridge is wrong motor then.

the bridge isn't going to allow you to have your cake and eat it too.

This!

When you look at dyno charts anything on a dynojet with less than 100rwhp at 3,000rpm is going to be a laggy beast.

Closest turbo(s) to no lag would be a sequential 3rd gen and they can make up to 150+rwhp at 3,000rpm modified and 400rwhp peak.
