How much of a low end difference is the T3 vs T4? I want the most efficient turbo at 15lbs. I want a street/weekend strip setup. I want smooth, not whiplash. I will never run more then 16lbs, so I don't care about 30lb capability. I want a turbo with the most power possible in 14-16lb range.

I'll stick with the long runner manifold and T4 hotside thanks. Cali SMOG ***** will just have to kiss my *** on that one.

1) Good strong ported engine, good turbo to match: GT35R T4, good tuning: learn to do it yourself...there is no excuse == Spool-up by 3800, 450 at 17 easy, and wishing you had more rubber or traction control

2) Get enough: Air, fuel, spark

3) Use: Time, $, Gas

Those are all the answers you need. Now just do it.

^ eh? I won't do 17lbs. Are you kidding, 91oct is $3/gal allready. I'm not buying race gas.
I will have a large street port again. Last engine blew front rotor. There's no explenation on the differences between T3 & T4. Yes, I know one is devided but what is the power and response difference. I really wanted to be semi legal.

If I pay "extra", could I get a custom shorter runner T4 manifold?

This is the manifold that comes with A-spec's GT40R kit. Don't see why it'd be an issue to use with the GT35R.

Hope that helps.

Oil and water fittings are different on the T4 turbine housing. I will look into getting a solution so that people who want to be smog legal can be.

Sean hown does that position compare to the HKS cast? Looks fairly close for the turbo, but not the WG.

Do you think it´ll fit my manifold? I´m going with a Turbonetics T66 A/R 1.15 Q-trim but if the spool is to unbearable I´m going with the GT35R... if it would fit!

The flanges are Inconell and the pipes are S2337. Why?

Do you mean SS347 or is S2337 a different grade stainless? Never heard of it!

I'll be doing mine out of 321. What does that manifold weigh? Must be fairly light?

Looks fantastic btw

Thanks! I spend some time polishing!
SS2337 is kind of the same as 321. I´m not really sure of the grades but it´s called that here in Sweden! The flanges are 15mm thick so it´s not that light.... but for the thickness it´s pretty light

The only thing that would be tricky is the oil drain. The T4 housing is a tight fit on the 35R.

If a 35R short runner T4 manifold is possible, is there anyone else interested in buying one? I guess i'll be the one posting the dyno results but unfortunately I can't compare the two.

Anything is possible it is just a matter of spending the time to rework the fittings.

I think you're already taken care of unless they didn't get back to you yesterday.

GoRacer, you could get an electric air pump from a Pontiac/Buick car. Just a though.
